  1. nice wanna loan out the grinder? nothing bad just need to level some frozen cow pies 16f. here now and feeding cows is getting rough. how can you get compaction on clay with that much rain? all I ever got was stuck lol
  2. that tank might be big enough to cook the PORK out of the u.s. budget, still at a loss for the grill
  3. shut it down or open your wallet wider! crankshafts and water don't do well together. what isn't coming out the draft tube is going in the oil pan! get it in the shop now!
  4. like the stretched look . and a truck vid well that's just icing on the cake!
  5. yes I agree if it involves thinking or work it will never last on t.v. I like highway thru hell on the weather channel probably because its filmed less than a 100 miles from me, and I get to see Canadians wrecked! but the last 3 weeks it keeps getting postponed with current storm coverage.
  6. since when is the governor or mayor a super hero? this is the reason this country is f uped ,until a smart phone app can remove ones head from their ass.the SHEEPLE will be scurrying like blind mice. planning for the worst and hoping for the best. is better than a lack of planning! ok I,m off the soap box
  7. I thought all this talk about a carbon foot print kinda made sense (a pound burned is just that a pound burned) then the goofy bastards said that it was burned too dirty so now we must burn more to burn clean. how does this help? now we add urea to the exhaust plus raw fuel and burn at temps that a creamatorium would use to cremate a body. and this is helpful how? do they know how many fires this high exhaust temp have started and how many pounds of carbon were burnt and put into the atmosphere all in the name of air pollution. kinda like wiping your ass with a hoop there's no end to it
  8. In the mid 90's a rep. for viscosity oil (they formulate for case ih)told me as emissions regs.incresssd, plan was to have the eng.oil assorb more particulate matter as it wasn't allowed in the exhost so using the oil specked for the eng. is now critical. A buddy of mine works for a school dist. as a mech. and has been fighting egr probs. with ism cummins eng got to checking and they were buying the wrong oil, turns out delo 400 was not rated for the newest eng. requirements. but texico ursa (go figure bottled by chevron) is he just switched so too soon to tell if this helps he also shortning intervals. the fleet guard filters are a awesome filter but this is also the problem I believe as it uses a micro glass media vs. a paper media like wix the micro glass will filter to a finer particulate size thus causing early plugging
  9. a 1986 value liner was the first mack I ever drove e6 350 with a mack 12 speed and a 12 yd.box solid ol'e truck
  10. there is a spring over shock set up for use in this application it clamps to the tie rod no cutting involved and can anchor to the lift brackets. find your heavy truck parts suppler and they should be able to get you a kit to do this. For a log truck i'd make sure that you have a long travel drop axle. the last thing you want is to cross a water bar and have the rear of the truck off the ground and at the mercy of a steerable axle. (gets kinda interesting)
  11. all these so called "stars" need to be rolled in bacon grease and dumped on a bear infested island so they will become what they are..... shit! they may have to douche miley with bacon ! I think the bear might think twice otherwise
  12. I used to paint the other end of the dog for the drivers that were on my shit list! I figured a ahole otta look at a ahole lol
  13. is this eng. rebuilt or org. if org. id would use non detergent a heavy detergent will clean 60 years worth of crud out of where its stuck and put it in the suction of the oil pump (where you don't want it) id also use a single grade oil according to ambient temp. if eng has been cleaned and rebuilt id use a detergent single grade (that's what it was designed to run on) and the detergent will keep it cleaner
  14. loosen the u bolt on the low side and measure the loaded axle height then lift truck by the spring until truck is level then subtract loaded height from unloaded plus the difference if any and add block. or get longer u bolts and then add block
  15. don't know a damn thing about this trans, but with all things electronic clean and check your grounds! you say a relay is clicking ? can you id the relay and then find its control circuit, if you can find out what controls it you might have found your problem
  16. gee that old 922 is (so cute) first one ive ever seen. smallest ridged frame ive seen was a 944
  17. upper and lower bearings can be different, lower shells typicaly have more surface area than the uppers since thrust force on the crank is down.the milled grove in the upper allows for oil to enter the crank journal and supply oil to the rod bearings. did you plastigauge the rods? it sounds like either wrong bearings got installed or other component is improperly installed. you drove truck to shop with ok oil pressure and cant drive it out with good oil pressure. something is like cam bearings don't fail in the shop when the eng isn't running. unless it spun a cam bearing it start up. This will be real messy but you could pressureize the oil galley with a external oil pump and with the pan off see whats leaking too much oil
  18. our super 18's had high lifts and you could put a midsized pick up in the bed with out dropping the gate. I would often use our 12yd. boxes with high lifts to do clearing and grubbing work and really liked them.
  19. yah that was the kill you slowly part. toxic rain(OIL) and deafening screaming (2500 rpm)
  20. could it be a early Russian drone ? it kills you slowly unless it strips a blower shaft and then falls on you!
  21. if the clearance between the impeller and the housing is to great it will cavitate check clearance and also check impeller fit to shaft ive seen them crack and be tight cold but spin on the shaft when hot. also check lower rad. hose. it may have separated internaly and wont allow any volume of water to get to the pump
  22. well if you have no water movement when the eng is up to temp. (180-200)F remove water pump and inspect also if eng has a burp hose (small line from top of eng. to top resivor ) make sure it isn't plugged. the no water movement sounds like pump impeller failure . on my previous post ive had this happen and not lock up the eng. or contaiminate other fluids but this should be a last resort. and yes a compressor can cause this as well. blown gasket or bad casting . typicaly a unloaded comp will not push air into water so check as you watch the rad. for bubbles if comp is building air or is unloaded
  23. you can send us some snow need about 4 feet of white stuff above 3000ft. would take up to 6 feet but would make it through summer with 3 feet. so any unwanted snow can be sent freight prepaid to EAST SLOPES NORTH CASCADES WASHINGTON STATE or SOUTHERN BRITISH COLUMBLIA thanks gear head
