ed it depends where you are using it if you have braded along the frame you can use plastic if its from a valve to a brake can you can use rubber. basically if it flexes use rubber if semi ridged use plastic REMEMBER ALL HOSE, OR TUBING MUST BE STAMPED FOR DOT USE. fittings also should be brass and dot approved

sorry no pics 1st. b mod. thermodyne twin screw dump. 2nd dm mixer 7 yd. first mack after I got a cdl was a 1987 value liner 350 12 sp. twin screw dump then 1988 superdog e9-500 low boy tractor at 23 years old, I was in heaven!!! -

also a air chisel with a blunt tip and drum on the flats of the nut or top of a bolt while using blaster or kroil I use this quite often on old farm equipment with good results -

red hope you get lucky and more boost resets the rings but I doubt it. nothing like getting screwed by some ones half assed repair

how dirty is your environment? the hole in the cooler caused low boost or no boost but when shifting it will suck. until throttle is re applied this could dust the engine fairly quick if off road or dirt road. remove pipe between charge air cooler and intake manifold, wipe a finger on inside of pipe and manifold, is it gritty or just a little slimy? if gritty your day will be shitty

joemac I will get some pics and post when the weather is better our vol.fire dept has a ih 1937 I believe its a kb6 or kb7 the body was built by vanpelt. I looked on line and could only find a ford f6 or f7 with a van pelt. cool ole ride with a buggy seat and dual hose reels, still original I take it to some local parades most people cant believe it still runs. -
if she is indeed wore out the draft tube should have considerable blow by. a monometer test will tell this, dealer should be able to do in 10 minutes or less (easer than compression test) have you checked the air side of the turbo for oil being pushed into the charge air cooler? the fuel system on the mack is different than the ford I've never seen a in line pump add oil to the fuel system but it can add fuel to the oil system

damn tires! when I was working in the seattle area our tire guy was killed by a giant tire on a loader, he was trying to fully seat the lock ring and had to air in the tire when the ring shot out and got him. left two small kids and wife behind.
