  1. try just hooking up just the emergency or supply air line leave the application or service line off then charge the trailer, then check for air coming out of the trailer service port. if air is present go to trailer axle(s) with dual chamber brakes and one by one remove the application hose on each can and check for air coming from can service port if you find a bad one let us know and we'll get you to the next step
  2. on a dump truck I can understand the rear brakes wearing out faster especially if dust shields are missing due to dirt entering the drums. But when thinking about the mechanics of braking on a camel back or beam arrangement the fronts should be doing the lions share of the work. As brakes are applied the front axle is forced down and the rear axle is lifted, the fronts should wear more and the back should be more prone to lock up and skid, thus more front brake wear and heat
  3. I used some interlocking rubber shop floor mats in a tractor cab, great noise and heat reduction plus it comes apart easy for service work and was very easy to cut and install. for a truck cab I think a patch of alum. diamond plate just in front of the pedals would work fine.
  4. that tablet is just like a pre e7 electronic mack, very dependable and simple to use and the younger generation don't understand how to use it

  12. 84 superdog the gray ones from our dealer didn't have the harness plugs so for I think 63.00 per light I said screw that. got the chrome plated sq.for 28.00 if memory serves at local parts house. thanks for the offer but using the truck a month and a half a year the square ones should last the life of the truck ,besides now I can play whats wrong with this picture
  13. yes no chrome for Christmas or any other holiday . Last year I looked all over for the chrome plated ones and got nowhere ended up using square ones from ih truck ,I think they look better anyhow because theres nothing round on a superliner except tires and and fuel tanks
  14. an oil pushin compressor is no good, with it pushin oil it ruins the desicant in the air dryer so it cant effectively remove moisture the oil also swells the O-rings in your air valves making for further problems
  15. never seen the long "Canadian" walking beams on a truck of that vintage
  16. east coast not my specialty either looks like board is hosed so what happens if you break the printed circuit strip? or remove shorted gauge? you wont be wrecking any thing that isn't already hosed..

  18. better drop it another 10" looks like at that height you can still get under the hitch to check fluids and adjust brakes etc. also better add some 2x4's for them hard pulls l.o.l.
  19. a bad "vibration" adjusting steering box wont fix a vibration; just slop in the wheel.when does this vibration occur? is it speed sensitive or when turning or after hitting a bump? need more info
  20. does the cross over have a low spot in the hose ? might have water in tanks and froze. Close valve on empty tank and remove cross over if nada check other end of hose, ether hose problems or no vent to tank.Dont forget to reopen valve
  21. have any of you guys tried the poly bed liners? as long as your not hauling large shot rock or digging a load of 1/2 cured asphalt with fly ash in it with tiger teeth, they worked great for us. We had about 10 tnt rigs using them in both boxes
  22. if you have a volt meter it will draw if not ran through the cab power relay, just a thought
  23. still cant get my head wrapped around the front wing idea, mid mount side wings I get but fronts have got to suck if your the driver. 3 lanes of loose snow plus falling snow! those drivers must have eye stress from hell! guess I wont bitch about plowing with a grader, or dozer then
