  1. staxx thank you for the answer. so does it completely disengage? or like a standard viscous; and run at a low % of eng. rpm. has any one retro fitted it to older engs.? my e9 runs too cool most of the time I thought I had a bad thermostat but changed both and no improvement. guess I might have to find a set of shutters
  2. also get the brgs. and race #s for the inner and outer and double check the seals. the parts are too damn heavy to do twice!
  3. I'm trying to pick up what your putting down! hard 2 do without schmatics just working from lack of memory. my best advice is when empty air tank shows on gauge open drain valve to find empty tank. then charge empty tank with shop air get some beer and call martell

  6. chase the compressor discharge line to the wet tank. if the truck has a check valve it should be on the end of the discharge line. some trucks don't have them.I cant think of any reason you couldn't add one though. any one else have any thoughts on this
  7. so much for the brotherhood of fire fighters. It's getting too damn cold to drive that cab less thing back east anyhow

  10. primary or (wet tank ) check valve allowing air to excape through the compressor ? do you have a air dryer? pin hole in tank or lines? trans shift knob?internal trans air leak? wiper sw. valve heater controls ? Find neighbor kid with good ears that likes to get dirty and offer him 20 bucks to crawl all over that truck and look for the leak while you drink a beer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. is this truck on the east or west side? how long is it from back of cab to back of frame? i'm guessing that with the rayco suspension that it's a rw613? whats the frame thickness 1/4 5/16 or 3/8 i'm thinking of building a dump truck after a suspension change call me if you want rob @ 509 846-6312
  12. to my knowledge this true on all drive shafts, the exception is on steering gear then the yokes must not be in time with their respective yoke
  13. alright i'll retract that post beautiful truck I know your a f.w.d. nut but our v.f.d. has a1937 international with a vanpelt fire body that needs some t.l.c. would you like to trade for a while? that f.w.d. would be just the ticket for winter around here!!!!

  17. damn it should have checked the travel routes sooner, the tree went through town two days ago. Should have known that a government job would take the longest route possible, never thought that a tree 150 miles east of me would get hauled west 300 miles to leave on I-5headed south. no wonder we cant pay our f#$&!ing bills
