  1. glad its spring there! ......our spring showed up last night in the form of 1" of rain.....badly needed rain too. we were about 2 weeks away from wildfire season with out it! our non irrigated ground was parched and the grass had already turned brown. thats about 5 weeks too early from the norm.
  2. I would say as long as the release bearing doesnt have pressure on it it should be fine. i would remove the inspection cover and make sure that there is ample clearance between the yoke and release bearing (not preloaded causing the bearing to prematurly fail) if you can accomplish that it should be fine.
  3. Kieffer: how many times are your failed casings caped? more than twice? when i was working in the construction trade we finally gave up on old casings we would buy new and cap once then sell the casings and our tire problems went away! proper tire maintiance is crutical to running caps if you dont check air pressure on a regular basis and bump your tires several times a day, they wont last! also when installing tires wrap a tape masure around the tires and note the circumfrance, then match them up accordingly! what kills caps is HEAT so under inflated or mismatched size will cause you PAIN
  4. check the turbo as mentioned in earler post if ok then clean the cross over pipe as best you can as well as the compressor hsg. on the turbo then take the truck out for a hard drive (find a long hill or such) and make the engine work, then run normally for a few miles, then idle for a minuite or two, then shut it off and pull the crossover pipe and re check for oil. a damp film would not scare me ( probably residual left in comp.hsg.) if slimmy and wet look for a turbo rebuilder.
  5. I think that the fogging system that clouds their brains should be ample to cover any agricurtural activitys!
  6. Paul- I think after the garbage piles up for a few weeks the 8 ton limit my go the way of the cloths line! since garbage trucks weigh more than 8 tons
  7. my old midland cb said in the instructions to reverse the leads for + ground. so with that in mind i think you could put a cigerett charger isolated from the rest of the truck ( mounted on wood or plastic or such) and reverse the leads to the charger and you should have - ground at the charger..........just a thought.
  8. baxter - is this for on road or off road use? is weight a big concern? neway is good for off road but a little heavy, it was also the only factory air ride i've ever seen on a superliner II, their could have been others but all rw 713 I've seen had the neway. I really liked it for a lowboy tractor, good travel and artulation.
  9. Paul thats just nucking futs!!! let them dumb idiots live by their laws, then remind them a school bus weighs more than 8 tons and watch all them idiots scream that they have to haul the kids back and forth.hopefully as you stated all major busness lock their doors in protest over having to haul in supplys with a 1 ton, hopefully shelf prices doubble on needed daily comoditys. then see if the idiots can put 2 and 2 together!
  10. enough of the damn tie downs.........where is the BRASS POLE?
  11. looks like stainless without the price......NICE!
  12. fleetguard builds some great filters but unless you are in a enviroment that requires a top line filter, save your money and keep using what you are using now. I know i just started a war ..... but cut them apart and compare to the others.
  13. with all this extra time on your hands you should be able to stop and help out some distreased winfall wimmin!!!!!!!!...........see Karma is comming back to you!....I guess they dont have time to stop either!
  14. i hope no one transforms ole ma clintion like you transformed that truck! or we're screwed! VERY NICE JOB!
  15. are you talking about the pto shaft on a farm tractor? if so i would be nervous about resplining because as Paul mentioned it could fail just behind the end of the respline due to improper tempering once welded. try the wrecking yards for a better one.
  16. go buy tabs for it and tell them to kiss this!
  17. i would think a complete mack cut off wouldnt be over 2000.00 and could be as low as 850.00 depending on size and condition
  18. the cl series that i took my e-9 from was a factory 12 volt. if you still run the 4 batteries and put a 50 series starter on it shouldnt be a issue, now if you live in Buffalo N.Y. and dont have a block heater on your e-9 and your trying to get her started in january to plow snow during a noreaster, well 24v will be handy to have. above 40 degrees the e-9's ive been around dont crank long enough to talk about
  19. remember you have a jerk pump each cylinder has its own plunger that rides on a cam shaft inside the pump and a rail that turns the plunger to increase or decrese the helix thru which fuel is metered, so if one plunger is out of adjustment it will cause this issue. and yes pump tecs can goof! i fought with a excavator that had a knock that we coulnt get rid of after a rebuild, it turned ot that the pump shop goofed and was over fueling one cylinder
  20. im betting the snap ring that holds the release bearing collar failed, every thing would appear to move corectly but will not disengage the clutch, so as said above, pull trans and remove clutch
  21. i damn sure wouldnt have the post hole digger blues if my soil looked like the stuff in the vidieo! hell thats prime digging!!!!! those clam shell diggers are a joke around here, the rocks are bigger tham the throat of the diggers!...........btw i'm not whining just stating the facts.
  22. and the dirty lenz award goes too.........! lol
  23. if air pressure is good, i agree with the fork or syncro issue as mentioned in earler post
  24. does it have screens inside the bolts of the banjo fittings? it could be a plugged or restricted return line ! this will cause the same symtoms.
  25. you might be able to rent out the goose neck area to Yardo's brass pole emporem! ( or however in the hell its spelled)
