  1. I do have that issue. I looked for the article but it's not in that issue. Seems to me I remember an article in another issue about Bolus, though. I'll look. Al
  2. Nice pictures, Vlad. Cool for us to see pictures of something other than the Kremlin. The red/white Navistar cabover, looks like a former Roehl (Rail) Transport tractor. They used that same paint scheme since the '70's. Thanks. Al
  3. I was at a show probably 20 years ago and took some pics of the truck. Was a beauty with the Cat on back. Recently, a very similar truck sold at auction in S. Wisconsin. Al
  4. Is it a former Ryder or Haliburton truck? Seems they both bought bunches of R-700's. Looks decent. Good luck with it. Al
  5. Trent, that was T.C. "Terry" Wells in the White/GMC. He was leased to Rusty. His truck is now a faded red and says "Luco Contractors " on the door. Al
  6. That C model was restored by the late Milt "Uncle Milty" Smazik of Lockport,Il. He drove it to many shows throughout the midwest. Was happy to see Keystone got a hold of it . Al
  7. I just see one stick. Was it converted to 237/5spd? Either way, looks like a handy item to have around! Al
  8. Just like an established trucking companies back lot,the Mack Museum holds many treasures, also! Al
  9. A good friend (and REO, Diamond T and Diamond Reo collector) paid this same guy like $500.00 to build him a model of one of his trucks. He paid the money, but never got the model. Makes me wonder if you would have to pre-pay for one these models, and take the chance of not getting it? Al
  10. W. Smith Cartage , Kevin, is the company you're thinking of. F. Smith/H&H Cartage. Gone, but not forgotten. I believe that former Geske truck originally was bought by Wally Glaze. I remember both W. Smith & Glaze running those 300 Series R models, when they first came out. Smith's 300 is long gone but had 2 or 3 cabs replaced, before they got rid of it. Al
  11. Ironically, Sharkey's own dealership Quincy Mack,is where I seen the first pictures of the "new" CH back in early '88. Norm Rhea,a salesman there had just gotten back from a sales meeting/introduction party for the new at the time, model. Being raised on B's & R's,I just said "yuck". Al
  12. Looks great! Should be done for home heating oil season ,right? Just kiddin'! Top shelf. Al
  13. I agree. Thought I'd help them load 'em back up. But they were gone like an N.O.S. B model cab before I knew it! Anyway, still a blast to drive that R model. Al
  14. I didn't get the BCR to Des Moines, but did get to drive Kamp's '87 R model from the unloading area to its parking spot. Thanks Mark & Benny. Al
  15. Very nice. I seen it at Macungie last year also. It has come a long way since then, for sure. It should have been parked inside at Des Moines, in my opinion. A treasure for sure! Al
  16. Like the radiator/cooler arrangement. Very nice,Tracy. Al
  17. Out of likes. 57bcr Likes this,Gregg. Al
  18. Looks like "project city",for someone. Good stuff. Can't have too many things to keep the mind occupied , you know? Thats what I keep telling the old lady anyhow! LOL! Al
  19. LOL! Seen something similar in a newsletter once. Some other terms used were: "Military Model"......used for target practice and "Clear title"....for something else. Two others that came to mind. Al
  20. Looks real good,Larry. Alumitank is a local outfit, only 15 miles or so away. Good people with a great product. Had them build a tank for the RD about 20 years ago. They go to most ATHS shows. Trying to get them to hit Macungie as well. Al
  21. Welcome! You've stopped at the right place! Al
  22. You bet,Mike. Either Wednesday or Thursday.Depends on a few things. Al
  23. Current pic of my old RD,loading out of Curran's plant in McHenry . Not too shabby for a 27 year old truck, huh? Al
