  1. Welcome! Had a '90 RD 690S myself. You picked a good one! Al
  2. Nice,Jim. Had one of these, myself. Last I seen, dad had put it out for the garbage man! Along with my Farmall pedal tractor w/wagon. The man who throws NOTHING away, decided there no room in the shed for my rides. That was in like '72. 11 yrs. old at that time. Al
  3. I agree. Bought a core from them for my '70 KW K-100. Just be careful when removing the bolts from your tanks. As always, electrolysis is the enemy in this job. Some of the bolts were a bugger to get out of the aluminum tanks. Easy does it! And don't over tighten the bolts, the gasket "sqwash" is a good indicator of required tightness of the tank bolts. Patience is the key! Al
  4. Google Chrome is what I use. Works for me(at the moment, anyway). Although some YouTube videos won't work. Don't know why. Guess I need to ask a 3rd grader, they could figure it out. Al
  5. You look very happy, but we can't wait to see Grandma's reaction.........Priceless! Al
  6. A few of the GAOT Museum trucks ended up in Iowa 80's Museum at Walcott, Ia (which is another museum to put on your list,if you haven't already!). Al
  7. The truck that had been said to be the start of the slow death of the White Motor Company. Probably didn't mean to,it just happened that way. A faithful American worker that went to work day after day,and sometimes retired. An icon. Al

    Oh-no!

Whew! Now that's a fire! Glad he made it out of there alright,Timmy! Now comes the fun part-dealing with the insurance company. Wish him the best. Al
  9. ..........A little rubbing compound and she would be cherry. Yeah, too bad it is that far gone. We've all seen guys bring 'em back from worse than that. I'm not that guy, though. Al
  10. I think that was a fair asking price,keg1. She looked like a beauty! Al
  11. I just need need to build a garage! I agree with fxfymn,on probably having twice that in it. I always liked his truck and his craftsmanship. Somebody is going to get a great truck, whoever buys it. Good luck to them both. Al
  12. Mackey, the Maggio show is on May 20th,you could swing by the Stark shop and then head to Rockford after that? That is as long as you don't make a mess of yourself while checking out the fine selection of BULLDOG'S on Railroad St. in Marengo! LOL! Al
  13. Looks good,Robert. That interior is nice! A clue that someone actually gave a damn along the way. The elbow grease, paint, and repairs you have done really show. Better than one of those "sensor-laden" new trucks out there, for sure. Good luck! She's a keeper! Al
  14. I believe the # you found there is the official part number of the axle beam itself. I ordered new torque rods for the '88 and to my surprise,it was a straight 7 digit part number now. I haven't ordered OEM MACK parts for a while and learned Volvo did away with the old part numbering system. Figures! Al
  15. Looks decent! Nice find. Any day you bring home an old BULLDOG,is a good day! Congrats and have fun with it. Al
  16. Love the flagship cabbed B's,but the L cabbed B's just had that look to them. Wonder just how many 70 series B's were built with the L cab? Anybody got an idea? Al
  17. A "labor of love"is what Cy Cranick (past president of the ATCA) calls it. I believe he's right! Al
  18. I was going to ask you about that truck,Brian. I thought Jim had owned it. Looked like a decent truck, at the meeting. The guy spent a good chunk of time talking to Dave's dad. That's what it's all about! Al
