  1. I received the letter and went to the BMV. Signed a form (#1 Interstate) and they copied my medical card. Will need to do it again in 2 years (when med card is renewed).
  2. Good lookin' H. Thanks for posting the pics. Is it home in PA?
  3. Why can't 10W-30 be used after 15W-40? Never heard of that before.
  4. Nice pics Tom! Lots of good looking trucks.
  5. The rectangular horns were Hadley. Their website does not list the flare size, just the length.
  6. Nice pics! Like the 69 Cuda fastback.
  7. NICE! No DANG NICE! I want a ride in that puppy! Ah, let me guess...the speedo is not original.
  8. Patience my dear, patience!
  9. I recollect this was at the Clatterpillar Testicle Center back in the day. Likely a 3408?
  10. Missed the car but the tractor is an Oliver.
  11. welcome to BMT. contact the Mack museum with the serial number and they will send you a package of info (takes 4-8 weeks). be sure to send them a donation. this is the place to get parts info. p.s. be forewarned....post pics of your EF.
  12. Anyone live near Auburn, NY? PM me.
  13. Takes one to know one!
  14. Don't mean to hijack your thread but... I attended the Dover OH Steam Show on Saturday. You talk about smoke and noise. Take a look at this... http://s1305.photobucket.com/user/pafarmer52/library/#/user/pafarmer52/library/2013%20Dover%20OH%20Steam%20Show?sort=2&page=0&_suid=137682634778907841390181598222
  15. There was one at auction last week here in OH....looked good but smoked...final bid was $5200. Also had a nice 730 Diesel Standard that brought $8600. Personally I feel any R, 80, 820, or 830 in PA will be overpriced because they are rare in the east. It would be better to find one in Western US or Canada and pay to have it shipped east. Most of the western tractors have straight sheet metal. Both my Cockshutt 570 Super Wheatland and JD 730D Standard came from western Canada. Check out www.ytmag.com. Martin's in Newville, PA might have something. Good luck!
  16. Saw some doors listed on fleaBay. Might try some salvage yards like Adelman here in Canton, OH (www.adelmans.com).
  17. Out of likes again! But like the links.
  18. Congrats!!
  19. Car cruise? What time? How far away?
  20. Thanks for the pics Mike. Like the overhead view of the "old" tractors. John Deere had the best looking tractors from 1963 to 1972 (first New Generation). Nice Clatterpillar too. It has been a LONG time since I was at the Iowa State Fair. Questions - why do all your pics have a blue tint? I heard of rose colored glasses but blue? Is that your daughter next to the WM LE Mack? What is the story on the Cat D9? Looks like a permanent display.
  21. can't remember but did you check the runout of the tires?
  22. 10W-30 oil is approved in most engines. I doubt the oil is at fault. There is not much difference in viscosity compared to a 15W-40. The only issue could be the oil is shearing out of grade. Does it shutdown when the oil is new (few miles) versus close to an oil change (many miles)? If all your engines us the same oil and only a few shutdown...I would suspect a sensor or another issue but not the oil. Here is the Mack approved oil list... 2013 02 Mack Approved Oil.pdf
  23. Hat - out of likes but I like those buns toasting in the sun!
  24. Black smoke = partially burned Diesel fuel White smoke = unburned Diesel fuel or water Blue smoke = oil
