  1. No comment about your comment. Sorry I posted here. I thought there might be someone who knows of a truck for sale that is not posted on Faceless book or local sites. I am not looking for overpriced JUNK! If this thread can be closed to further smart a$$ comments, please lock the thread or delete it completely. Thanks! Another reason why I do not frequent this site.
  2. @67RModel - thanks for the notice. But more than one box is unchecked! Prefer a day cab but will consider a NICE original sleeper cab. Not interested - I will keep my comments to myself. And as I mention - EMAIL IS BEST!!
  3. These are still for sale. Hopefully someone can use one or both. Thanks!
  4. I am still looking for that elusive CH612 per my original post. Willing to travel for the "right" unit. Email is best. Thanks!
  5. Thanks everyone for the comments and info. There is a rebuild kit (KIT5237) on fleabay for $20. I will pass this on to the seller. And I will likely pass on this CH. Prefer single axle.
  6. I am looking at a CH613 that has a Meritor Rockwell 10spd transmission. I am unfamiliar with MR transmissions. How do they compare to Eaton - shifting, durability, parts, repair, etc.? Also the owner states the shift lever "wobbles" when driving. Is there a spring that needs replaced? Or are internal parts worn? The truck has 600K+ miles. I don't know anything about the history. Thanks!
  7. @67RModel - Thanks for thinking of me. I don't do faceless book, but the big chrome bumper, chrome visor, and dual straight bologna stacks do NOTHING for me. But to each their own. Whatever floats your boat. As the saying goes "they are only original once" and that is what I seek or something close with no rust. I inquired about at least 30 trucks so far and the "nice ones" are usually sold by the time I see them advertised.
  8. CH612 inspection and purchase in Savannah did not happen. I am still looking for a nice 2003 or older CH612 day cab per my original post. I would consider a NICE CH613 day cab but lose one rear axle and shorten the frame ($$$$). Most CH613s are high mileage, have a wet line which I do not need, and are "run hard and put up wet". Expanding my search to include International 9100 and 9200 with CAT or Cummins power.
  9. What are the differences in a pre1993 CH cab versus a 1993+ cab? Looking at the 2008 Mack Accessory Catalog, several items show "93+". Also what is "keystone" versus "pre-keystone"? What year did Mack stop using fiberglass doors on the CH?
  10. Anyone in the Savannah GA area to inspect a truck? Email me.
  11. Selling two (2) new electronic tachometers for non-electronic mechanically controlled engines. 17MT4111 does not have an hourmeter but P2 does have an hourmeter. These tachs are for use with flywheel teeth (or pulses) of 93 to 213. The diameter is approximately 3-1/2". Again, these are new tachometers that cannot be used on an electronic V-MAC engine. Asking $200 OBO each plus shipping. Note: the P2 tach has a few small nicks on the outer rim (at the 5 o,clock position) as shown in the picture. I don't log on often. If interested, please send email to mhrollhauler612 at outlook dot com. Thanks, Ken
  12. Aren't we funny! If you want a lady, post a separate thread. Don't bastardize my post! And wonder why I don't frequent BMT!
  13. I will not be able to remove it to use as a pattern since I will be driving the MH to shows this summer. If by winter I still do not have one, I can remove it then.
  14. Seeking a 2003 or older CH612 in very nice original cosmetic and mechanical condition. Rust free cab. Original paint. Minimum 300 HP. Engine brake a plus. 10 speed manual Mack or Eaton transmission. Air bag rear suspension. A/C. Dual aluminum fuel tanks. Maintenance history nice to have. Current DOT inspection (good brakes and matching rear tires). Any color other than black. Send details with asking price to mhrollhauler612 at outlook dot com. Thanks!
  15. Geoff, Thanks for the information. I am not a fabricator but it sounds easy. The MH guide is similar to one you pictured. I do not know anyone local that can make the part. I requested a print from the Mack Museum and then I will search for a fabricator. Thanks again!
  16. The dipstick guide tube is rusty and broke at the outer support. The guide PN is 715GB530M and NLA from Mack and no dealers show any stock. Seeking a decent guide. Send me an email at mhrollhauler612 at outlook dot com if you have one or know of one for sale. I plan to be at Macungie. Thanks!
  17. Thanks for the input. I decided to dismiss the idea of buying a Pro-link setup. I mainly wanted the system to check and reset the low idle and road speed. The extra diagnostic features are "nice to have". But for the money I will pay Watt's to check/reset the features. Hopefully less than a Pro-link system. I did find a free software program from Diesel Laptops but the cable to connect the vehicle to my computer is over $800. I will pass.
  18. I learned the 804011 (V6.2) is an updated card compared to the 801111 (V6.10). Will either card work for V-Mac I and II? Has anyone used the Nexiq Pro-Link Graphiq? If so, thoughts compared to the Pro-Link Plus? Again, thanks for your input.
  19. I have a chance to purchase a card for the V-Mac III. The card number is 801111. I saw cards with PN 804011. Which is the correct card or are both the same? Will this card work with all V-Mac III engines (199x-2003)? I don't know what years used the III. TIA
  20. Thanks Bob for the heads up. I found a used lamp MANY years ago. I gave up looking for a backup (new or used). Looking at the pic from Walmart, it is not even close to either the early or later lamp. The one posted by @BottleHauler84may be correct but too fuzzy to see any detail. Perhaps you can get a better image. My concern would be the wiring and connections. I am not a fan of "modifications" but I guess something is better than nothing. Thanks to both for your research and updates.
  21. I am "guessing" the MH642/3 were Detroit engines? Anyone know for sure?
  22. MH653 - Caterpillar 6x2 - single drive axle 6x3 - tandem drive axles A MH652 would be a Caterpillar powered single axle. Here is the link to a YT video explaining the differences in the CAT 3400 family engines.
  23. I would say it is an optical illusion. The diamond plate fenders hide the tire (top and front). If you look at the distance from the rim to the ground it looks the same. The front "drive" axle is not a tag axle so the tires should be the same size.
  24. Still looking. Added windshields.
