I have a 1948 EF with the EN290 engine. When I bought the truck the front cover was busted. Looks like the cam nut backed of and busted a hole in it. I found all the piece and welded it up. But would like a nother cover just incase this one fails.
Thanks. The sides are removable and are hinged in the middle. In the pic you see the almost 3' solid sides but can filp the outer part up to make almost 6' sides.
I got part of it and you are right you can see where somebody tried to pull it off. I wouldnt mind the $200 to make the truck complete. Thanks for the heads up on ebay I will be watching.
On the Mack website there is a page for the Mack Museum. I called them on the phone and gave them my info and a few weeks later I recieved a package from them. I was suprised the amount of info that was available considering my truck is a 1948.
Here are some pics. Thanks for the advice. I just stuck a battery in her and most of the electrical works. She tried to fire off but didn't want to try to hard till I get home.
I am new to the Mack truck but just picked up a 1948 Mack EF. I been looking online and I see parts are next to impossible to find. Anybody got any info of part suppliers? I am wanting to restore this truck so I will need a lil bit of everything.
