  3. When I think more about it I cant remember them my self. The first I remember working on here for roadway was fleetstar IHC 2000 with cummins and B67 with 711 engines.
  4. I remember in 67 and 68 I saw a lot of macks come in at the mack dealer here with Detroits and also the 1674 and cummins also.
  5. If it was me I would start with asking your helper if he install the o/rings.
  6. I am thinking cummins had a 11/16 but its been awhile.
  7. I try to not to thank the Lord for what he does as much as what he kelp from happening.I was having a virbration all day thrusday in my truck and did not have time to worry. We was hauling asphalt to the turn pike job. When we got done for the day I raised the bed and took a look at the drive line and saw a Ujoint cap almost out of the yoke. The two bolts were there but almost out. That would have been a ugly day if the joint came out.
  8. If this is not what you want to hear then don't read this thread no more/Too many people enjoy our freedom but will not lend a finder to keep it.Also for as talking about Gods word that is a commandment from the Lord to go forth and spread his word. Are you against that also?
  9. I put air assist on mine and its all you need.
  10. Yes one man job so don't worry.
  11. Many tanker yankers years ago carried a fitting that would connect to the pipes on the tanker and would drain jet fuel or diesel into their tanks on the tractor. That was the reason for hauling fuel at night.
  12. I remember the B models having a generator that the pump mounted on the end of it.
  13. I have seen 20/30 on mack also/
  14. Troy I forgot to say the mack engine you have will be a low horse power been in a mixer and it a two valve 11 liter engine. If you ever have to replace it go with a 4 valve E7 mechanical 400.
  15. There may be a different piston between the two and also check nd see if the exhaust valves are not different and if so the dynatard can not be used with the 96 engine.
  16. Any time a mack has set for some years the rack in the pump can become frozen and can be a problem.I always check to see if I can move the rack before starting.
  17. I would replace with a later engine. The air cleaner will need to be larger also.
  18. An another thing about thr road is there are too many signs to read and drive safety with the amount of traffic we have in a construction site.I think also there is a lot of lower IQ people in trucks now.I know I work with some. But at the end of the day I say thank you Lord keeping me alive.I have been hauling on the Turnpike construction for over a year and I cant get over what you see for drivers. Our turnpike is narrowed down to two loanes now and I see some truckers that what I think is almost blind because they take up more than their half.I lost a motor mirror due to that and it cost me over 400 dollars for a new one.
  19. I would call the insurance company that your going to use if its going to be commerial used. That old of a truck could be a problem.
  20. The en 707 was a 707 cubic inc eng same as the 711 and a 5" bore. '
  21. The city I live near is full of one horse shops that could not make it at a dealer and now have a shop of their own.I watch guys take their trucks there and end up running into same as this problem has.So many guys I work with ask me ever so often what can we do and I always tell them ever one that owns a truck and cant work on it their self is having same problem with repairs. If you can do your own repairs then don't keep the truck.
