  1. Do as fjh is saying and also i think your over matched trying to work on something you ant understanding.
  2. Call mack but i think you can.
  3. People will pay more for forward axle than a set back.
  4. If the puff limiter is connected then bleed all of the air down.
  5. Some one has changed the seat with one thats got many more miles that that on it.I have one just like that and seat is like new and its got 523000 miles on it.You can read the ecm for mileage and hours.
  6. You can flow time to check the timing.Remove the nut that holds the fuel line adapter down on # 1 and remove the delivery valve spring and tighten the nut back down. With fuel throttle in full fuel position and stop cable in run position pump the primer pump watching the fuel flow out of the fuel line adapter and turn the engine in run rotation very slow untill the fuel flow just cuts off. That is start of injection for # 1 cyl and the timing marks should line up to specs and not close but exactly.Recheck till you are sure its right and if not set the timing with the slotted bolts on the front drive under the little plate.
  7. No you do not.
  8. If you have a check engine light coming on then read that code.May be losing the VSS signal.
  9. If you pressure up to the heads try rotating the engine slow watching the pressure gauge. At some point there will be intake or exhaust valves closed on all cyl enough to pressure it up but rotate slow.I dont pressure more than 25psi on the heads because i think you couldblow the intake seals off with more pressure.
  10. I dont know about mack but with the freightliner dearer that i worked at epa came in often and would look at all of the down loads from DD to see if each download matched the proper engine.
  11. Dont put any sealer on the head gasket.
  12. Your not arguing because thats the way be learn about trucks. But the lever does not set the position of the brg.Only the clutch pressure plate adjustment sets the postion of the brg.The linkage only sets the position of the fork. You may have the brg setting close to the pressure plate and the fork just pressing on the brake disc. Now go in there and adjust the brg and the fork will not move away from the brake disc or get closer. The reason i say adjust the brake disc first is i had alot of studens work under me at the dealership and i learn long time ago to make it simple as can be for them and like said set the brake disc first and in most cases the rest of the clutches life which could be 500000 miles the clutch brake is not reset maybe over two times and thats due to wear on the disc or fork. Now if the clutch is set to were the clutch disc is not releasing then the brake disc is going to wear out fast or is some one mashes the clutch down against the brake went moving many times then the brake will wear fast.I know you can watch videos of adjusting the clutch but just make it simple and you will find it is so easy to under stand.
  13. I have found to get the key out of the shaft it helps to get a torch in there after you have washed the grease out of the inside and heat that key till it red and let it cool.If will almost fall out.
  14. Like been stated always adjust the clutch brake first and thats with the linkage then adjust the pressure plate to get the free travel.
  15. The liberals want control of the people so bad that they will use schools and ball games as well as hollywood to promote they cause.I am not into sports so i dont have to set out watching them.
  16. I did not read the question like i should have.I see he is talking about a ambac. and on a 90 year E6 it may not be drill for the four mounting bolts. I have a E6 350 ambac pump and injectors i will sell for 1000.00 and it has about 200000 mile since reman from mack.
  17. delect
  18. There is no neutral lock out on the side of the case for locking the range valve for hi/low.
  19. I did the Mercedes school when i was working and we was told that its was cheaper.I think it was around four dollars back in 05.Fuel filter same way and we was told that they were turned upside down so no one could pour dirty fuel in it.They had to be primed to be filled with fuel.
  20. i think you can do it so go for it.when a guy has utube he can do any thing.i watch a doctor make a woman out of a man and i think i could do that after watching that.
  21. Some one has done ask but i will ask, why head gaskets?
  22. i have a front axle from a early F model which looks like it may be a 10000 lb axle to me which is for budd wheels with brakes. Two alummin wheels on it if some one wants and can come get them they can have it Springs to.
  23. Set the clutch brake first and check it and then adjust the pressure plate to get a 1 1/2 free play on top.
  24. Start over and start with adjusting the clutch brake to one inch and thats done with the linkage. Then set the pressure plate to were you have maybe one and a half of free play. Now you have two inchs of brake and if you have any free play at the top that means your clutch is not getting enough release travel to stop the disc from turning and the clutch brake will only burn up if the clutch is not releasing. The brake is not what releases the disc but will stop the from turning after they are released. Do your self a favor and forget what you now under stand and what your going to heard on the radio and try this.If it dont work you still dont owe any one.
  25. Plus there would be light coming thru the rear window.
