I spent many hours driving a 318 with a 13 speed I will have to admit I liked it better than the Mack 5 speeds I drove in the r's and fs I did like the 4x4 in my Autocar and those 10 speeds in my White and International were nice

The thing that would make that truck jump out from the rest at a truck show is the tip turbine aftercooler.  I think it would have been fine with the triplex or just about any transmission given the loads he is going to pull.

It will have a unique sound pulling, and there aren't all that many tip turbines on the road anymore, or those that know what they are. I think you'd have to look a long time to find another B with one.

They were an interesting answer to a problem that went away, much more unique than low flow cooling, for the same problem.

A friend in Indiana has a B with a 300+ and a 14613.  Ron Bogan.  Really beautiful Blue with a bunk on it.  Met him years ago, and I think he used to be on here.  He says the tip turbine really screams.  I'm thinking it will sound like one of those twin turbo Cats with that insane whistle.  The 237 has a light whistle.

The father of the local fellow that has been helping me has a B dump with 300+ and a 8ll?  He has it turned up but hasn't used it for years since he closed down his trucking business.  Truck is pretty rough and just sits in a shed on his farm.
