Most will never change they "know" they are smarter than as Teamstergrrrl said a long time ago " you old white guys clinging to your Bible and Guns"

The options for change I feel are being slowly eliminated except one

And that one scares the hell out of me.

When Trump gets elected, then he can hire me to help him. I'll suggest for the liberals a free boat ride to a nice big island vacation, like Lincoln wanted to do but would not do so because of the costs involved. This time we'll spend the money that his cabinet pocketed.

(Scenes from outside the Republican National Convention in Cleveland)

Any American who intentionally desecrates (burns) the great flag of The United States of America should have their citizenship immediately revoked and be deported within 24 hours.

I personally have zero tolerance for flag burning.

Clearly disgusted with their life in the United States, I'm sure they'll be far more happy elsewhere.

Hillary's American Communist revolutionary Party.... http://revcom.us/

If you see this at the Democratic convention, it will be paid for by Democrats to make Trump and the Republicans look bad.

Trump hits a key nail on the head.

Speaking of the U.S. Constitution, Trump spoke of how "everybody wants to be protected."

Unlike Burger King, it is simply impossible for everybody to have it their way.

When you give to one group, you take from another. That's just basic Math 101. But in the year 2016, everybody wants to come out on top with their agendas.

The people burning the flag are the same people who come here for one reason - all the freebies!  Now they really prove how proud they are to be here by burning our flag. Most likely they are illegal anyway. Round them up and ship them back. We don't want their flag burning ass here anyway.

Question them about why they hate the USA so much and they can't even give a coherent answer. The media should ignore them.

Regarding the United States' NATO commitments, Trump was unapologetic, repeating that he intended to force allies to shoulder defense costs that the United States has borne for decades.

"We have countries within NATO taking advantage of us. With me, I believe they are going to pay," said Trump, who previously warned assistance to allies would depend on whether they "have fulfilled their obligations to us."

"Now, a country gets invaded. They haven't paid. Everyone said 'Oh, but we have a treaty'."

"If they don't pay -- Chuck -- this isn't 40 years ago. This isn't 50 years ago. It's not 30 years ago. We're a different country today.

"We have countries that aren't paying and this goes beyond NATO because we take care of Japan. We take care of Germany and South Korea and Saudi Arabia and we lose on everything.

"We can no longer be the stupid country."

The Constitution doesn't tell the government that it has to do anything for anyone, but rather what it cannot do to anyone.  As long as you respect the rights of others, there is no reason why everyone can't have it their way. Once you start infringing upon the rights of others, I lose interest in your "struggle".

Let's say, for example, that safety advocates wanted to keep highway speeds at 55mph, but you feel the speed limit should be 70mph.

If you win, they lose. If they win, you lose. Everyone can't have it their way.

In order for one or more groups to "have it their way", one or more other groups will NOT have it their way.

It's all taught in Reality 101.

You seem to be confused.

Driving is a privilege, granted by the state, which can be revoked by the state.

Rights are a different animal. For example, my right to keep and bear arms does not deprive ANYBODY of any of their rights.  If my bank account supports it, I can buy 50,000 guns and 20,000,000 rounds of ammunition without a single other person having to give up one shred of their liberties. If somebody else wants to do the same, they have every right to do so as well, and it doesn't affect me one way or the other. As long as everybody is respectful of the rights of others (so as not to deprive them of life, liberty, or property), then there is no reason why everyone can't have it their way.

Strangely enough, only being less then an hour south of all this mayhem, I didn't really hear a word about it on the news all week.  Pretty quiet actually.  Come friday night I heard the RNC was over and everyone was going home.  Huh?  Oh, didn't realize it was over as I never heard anything about gang wars and cop shootings all week.   I was thinking it would be HUGE news week with all the crap that was getting stirred up before hand.  BUT, it was all over in the blink of an eye.

That flag burning idiot, supposedly had some kind of official paperwork allowing him to burn a flag "as free expression".  Only problem, you can't have an open fire in the city of Cleveland, thus they go arrested.

If you think burning the flag is showing anything, then you need to find a new island and go live there.  Let's see how you are doing in 5 years without any free hand outs?

THe a holes burning the flags at the RNC are the American Communist Revolutionary Party who advocate over throwing the government and creating the North American Socialist Free (?) State.  Apparently Ohio, the Democrats and Hillary recognise them. The push open war against the U.S.A. and have support from Mexico, Cuba and Argentina.

Must be how they got the "approval" to burn the flag?  At least that is the story I heard last week.  The Supreme court "allowed" it to happen, only problem was the city of Cleveland doesn't allow open flame.  Oh darn.

I do not see how they could get approval as there are specific Federal rules on treatment, display and destroying the flag.

May I please ask, do you approve, or disapprove, of the burning (desecration) of the United States flag by American citizens?

Our liberal press will not cover the RNC as they do not view conservativaties as needing support, BUT I bet the news media will have Billiarys face in the news all this week from the DNC.. Just like before with Obumma..

I strongly disapprove, however I also recognize that they have the right to be disrespectful to the flag and to the nation that provides them with the freedom to be ignorant. Same with the KKK. They are a bunch of idiots spouting some pretty stupid ideas...but I support their right to speak. Nobody has to listen, just as nobody has to watch the @$$#0£€ burning the flag.  They want attention. Nobody has to give it to them.

If you want to have freedom for yourself, you have to defend the freedom of others. To attempt to revoke certain freedoms from some just because you disagree with them, well, somebody probably disagrees with you, too. Should they be allowed to revoke your freedoms based upon that same reasoning you used to deny the freedom of others?
