Popular Post High Binder Posted September 26, 2013 Popular Post Share Posted September 26, 2013 Been lurking around the forum for years. Got tired of not being able to see the pictures. Don't have any Mack's but they make a pretty decent truck. I'm retired, old, fat, and ugly. My wife doesn't give a didley squat about old trucks which is nice. I usually attend shows if they're not half way around the world. I have met a few members on the forum at truck shows and I look forward to meeting more. I know this is taboo but my interest is the old IH's from the 50's. I've been working on one and I have it about 95% finished. Still working on a few bugs. Some have seen it before. I bought it sight unseen and wondered what I had got myself into when it was unloaded. It was pretty rough but it was solid. When I got the truck the engine was stuck, the injector pump was leaking, it had a huge hole in the oil pan, bearings messed up in the transmission, fuel tanks dinged, and the rear end shot. It has a Cummins HRBB-600 (180 hp) engine, a double disc pump, a Fuller 5-C-720 OD 5 speed transmission, and a 4.11 2 speed rear end. All original except the rear end. I was going to go to the tri state show this year but had something come up at the last minute. Now I really wish I had attended the show. I would really like to see that truck in person.
