The fit looks almost like a factory build. One is of the super-rare set forward front axle model,that you just didn't see around. Here is a pair built for someone.Note the dead (non-driving) front axle (pusher) in the tandems.These are not as long hooded as the traditional set back axle models were. These all have 1674 Cats/13 speeds in them. The older is a '68.The newer ones are '72's if I remember right. The grandson of the owner (in a nursing home) said he'd sell 'em If someone was interested. No prices were discussed. The 2 newer ones were probably slated for scrap in the spring,as told to me by the grandson. I delivered candy from Boston (Schrafft's, Doran's, Nabisco) for Polar Transport of Hanover Ma. ranchhopper Posted January 8, 2017 Share Posted January 8, 2017 My dad had a friend who drove for giertz melahn years ago when they bought the new macks he stayed with his old hendricksen said the macks were to hard to drive without power steering so he kept the hendricksen until he retired.
