  1. Where's KS when you need some insiders insight? I'm side tracking you thread for a minute Paul, how much longer until BMT gives KS unlimited posting abilities so he can keep the trucking news thread relevant and informative? P.S. Thanks for posting this story Paul.
  2. Sweet video! Truck sounds good. Looks like you did a very nice install.
  3. Yup, if those dummies can't get behind trump they are surely going to lose and really screw us with either of the dems candidates. We need to change our election system to majority vote so EVERYONE'S vote counts. If memory serves me correctly Obama didn't get the majority vote last election but still won. Things like this and things like you posted Paul helps me make sense of people who don't vote. Unless you're in a state with lots of electoral votes your vote usually doesn't matter much if any at all. It always pisses me off when they announce a winner before all the votes are counted. I do understand that when they do that there is no way the other candidate can win but it makes it seem like only a some of the states voters count.
  4. Nice looking truck. Did you bring the trailer home as well?
  5. I saw this awhile back in petersens 4wheel & off-road. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/jeep-mighty-fc-concept-first-drive-review there's also a bad ass wagoneer prototype as well.
  6. I don't think we realize how much topical info he posts until you stop and think about when the last news story you read on BMT was.
  7. Alright it's morning in the mountain time zone where's the update? 😆
  8. Doesn't water get pulled up or through the exhaust manifolds on inboard engines? Could that be the difference?
  9. Wow what a beast.
  10. That 55 gasser vs hellcat video that Paul posted had a really sweet fc with a 5.7 hemi and tracks to boot.
  11. You will be glad you did. Good luck.
  12. Same as ranchhopper said, it WILL break from flexing unless you make the ends of the plate pointed. This keeps the frame from excessively twisting and flexing at one point, the vertical staight lines at the ends of your rectangle plate you repaired the frame with.
  13. Very nice looking truck. I love the h models.
  14. Wouldn't you just love to be adopted by parents willing to drop $60k-70k on a toy for to probably just drive to the mall? Sounds like a fun day at the track, what were you running?
  15. There's an outfit out of Bozeman that specializes in swapping late model hemis (5.7l & 6.4l) into the late model 2 and 4 door wranglers. If I remember the article correctly it was a pretty spendy engine swap.
  16. I can't seem to be able to find the pics of the Siamese d8 used on the hungry horse dam but I'll do some more digging. I believe it was primarily used to pile brush faster as they cleared the forest from the soon to be reservoir area.
  17. I remember my dad arguing with osha at his logging site about his Timco feller bunched and komatsu delimber built from a excavator didn't have back up alarms. Dads argument was that those 2 machines are bidirectional so the beeper actually beeping while you backed up was 50/50 depending on what way your tracks are moving.
  18. I had a similar experience. Put synthetic in my pickup and it started using oil. Went back to regular oil and it quit.
  19. Good riddance! All the more reason I hope trump wins. Get rid of this pc babies.
  20. You missed the point. You're assuming it's going to be driven by women who you are stereo typing as bad drivers when in reality men and women can and will drive that vehicle and both and dare I say more men will wreck in them. So all I'm saying is if we're going to complain about one over powered vehicle you better be fair and complain about them all. All the distractions you brought up earlier would be every bit as dangerous in a 4 cylinder Kia. The only way a high hp vehicle would be any worse is if your instinct is to jam on the go pedal when you're caught not paying attention which is unlikely.
  21. Don't really see the big deal about hellcat powered Cherokee. There are other vehicles that have been around for a long time that have way more power than a person needs i.e. Ford lightning svt, twin turboed Subaru wrx, twin turboed rx7, copo camaro, Shelby mustangs, these new diesel pickups that are used as grocery getters, corvettes, the new dodge 6.4l hemi pickups, Cadillac cars and SUVs all seem to have way more power than you need and I've seen girls drive these vehicles too and I bet if you could somehow get the stats you would find that guys are the majority of the ones crashing these high powered vehicles. Gotta show off to the girls and try to out hot rod the guys. If we're going down this path should we start outlawing go fast goodies for cars?
  22. That is a beauty! I really like that color, it's a little different than most but very classy.
  23. Looks like an apartment on wheels.
  24. Looks like irrigation canals to me. We have little ones like that around here except they're made of dirt.
