  1. And no disrespect to farmer52, I've always enjoyed his input. I can't speak to the pm because I know nothing about it but I will say it's a shame to let differing opinions be the deciding factor on whether or not to participate on a forum that he obviously enjoyed. So l would like to see ken on here again just like many others above have also stated.
  2. It might've been called what do you guys think Vlad. It may have been posted in odds and ends but I'm not sure. A fun read for sure though.
  3. Would think the Titan would make an awesome log truck but I've never seen one in western Montana.
  4. Detroit probably is offering the affordable upgrade because the first series 60 with the dpf on them were nearly impossible to keep running. The out fit I work for (buys only freightliners) told us that they had talks with freightliner that either they buy back the two '07 that we had that literally never ran a full week with out breaking down which is no exaggeration or else they would look into changing brands. Oh and the 2 Mercedes powered piles we had didn't impress us either.
  5. What is cat powering their trucks with? Did they get back into the truck engine game?
  6. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/tutorials/article/104-b-422t-truck-specs-october-16-1959/Top of page 7. Hope this helps.
  7. Yup LOL he can't accept the fact that America has spoken and doesn't want him for president.
  8. One more question about the starter. One of the 12volt starters is clockwise only and the other can be bought to turn in either direction so I assume I want an 11 tooth clockwise turning starter.
  9. Not sure my b75 is around 14k but look at ththe bmt wiki pages on this site. Has everything you ever wanted to know about these trucks.
  10. That is a tiny cab. I'd have leg cramps after a lap around the parking lot.
  11. Would make a sweet rv for sure.
  12. Good to know. So converting to a 12 volt starter will save me from having to buy 2 batteries as well.
  13. Holy smokes! Don't forget from crummy brakes and no jakes and they thought they had it made n
  14. Yes the parallel switch. It's not much more for a 12v starter. Found one for $167+ free shipping. So I'm leaning towards going 12 volt.
  15. Let's hope those poll numbers are right and MAYBE we will get started on the long, long way back to being the great capitalist country where workers far out weigh the free loaders.
  16. Bummer, all that runnin' around for nothing.
  17. Beautiful fleet.
  18. Yeah I miss Olivetroad's posts as well.
  19. Thanks for the info guys. With parts stores being 60+ miles from me and my Mack 3.5 hrs away I want to be sure and get the right parts the first time before I head over the mountains to work on it. So I can use my existing delco switch, but just the upper 12v solenoid even though the 24v switch crapped out? Thanks again for the help.
  20. My delco switch crapped out on my truck last time I tried to start it. Does anyone have a direct fit 12 volt starter part number for my ENDT673? Are there any other changes that I need to make if I convert the starter to 12v? I've heard it's easier to convert to 12v rather than find a delco switch to replace mine with.
  21. Hey nice to see someone from Montana on here. I was just in butte back in mid December to get finger printed for my hazmat renewal. Just off the interstate they had a helluva big shovel filling those giant cat dump trucks.
  22. Stunning pics Vlad, at least on the flat land you have trees! I just have sage brush.
  23. Must be the same marketing people that sell satellite radio parts. Nearly $50 for just the antenna or $50 for the dock, power cord, attachment accessories and an antenna. Don't make much sense.
