    Yup just got an e mail from the nysdot saying just that.but 3 axle trucks are still under the gun,they must add a fourth axle to renew there type two permits,there are so many ten wheelers coming out of the asphalt plants its crazy to think there going to comply with this..stay tunned

    truck-lite.com should have something, I know they have a three post that you could just leave one post off if you like.

    Smoke tickets in NY are a real pain in the butt,dec makes you get the truck re inspected and proof that the problem was fixed plus you pay a nice fine after a day in court.

    Somebody screwed up big time when they installed that one,that sucks big time..

    AS long as the guys in the orange coveralls don't show up and start crawling around under your truck with those little high beam flash lights you should get off pretty easy, and nice looking truck by the way..good luck

    What does it say on the rears if there original, you gotta drive it before you buy right?

    Like stated above just tap on one of the rails, be careful shifting, don't pull the shifter diagonally, move it straight back or forward and straight across..

    Just make sure its the tranny and not the one of the rears,sometimes its very hard to diagnose..good luck

    Just came across this thread,Super dog,did you end up buying this kit and installing it,how much frame space does it take up.this might be the ticket for me since I need to add a steerable lift axle to my 96 cl by next year for the new ny permit regs,thans for any info.

    Thanks for the reminder,now they don't even send you a notice fot it or the mileage tax,guess they want to add some late fees to,just another bull chit tax..

    Its great to stay in touch with your family a few close friends especially if you have a big family, heck I could never keep track my kids and grand kids with out it lol just check your security settings and keep it tight.

    My 96 cl was never a one finger steer, compared to my old rd or even dm's it steer at least twice as hard but it's nice and smooth both ways, just the way it is.

    lol,there's plenty of good reasons to own a Mack, but not to many to drive them..

    Did you try to acid wash it?

    Don't forget different tire brands of the same size actually have different diameters ,in my experience good year is one of the largest and continental is one of the smallest and the difference could be quite a bit.

    Rims are the same,but I think your mistaken about 12;00 being cheaper.
