  2. Cant help with the part number but I just made my own up for my cl hood, got the cables in home d.
  3. I got 50,000 miles out of the last set of goodyear tires on my dump, the guy i work for used the cheap china tires and like you say they don't even last one season, they just disintegrate, you get what you pay for.
  4. On the side of the inj pump underneath where the inj lines enter the top of the pump, youll see a round knob, you turn it to unlock it than you can pump it up and down.
  5. Does it have a hand primer pump on the inj pump, may have lost its prime from sitting or you have a pin hole air leak in one o fuel lines, try and pump it up if it has one.
  6. Once I renew my permit in a couple months I can gross 79000 but I wont be loading it that heavy.
  7. Of course they did,lol but there not getting there hands on my grandfathered overweight permit and I know they want them!
  8. Its a 70 gallon tank, still have to fuel up every day but thats the way I been doing it,to much troube moveing the truck to the other side of the pump.
  9. Now thanks to the nys dot I had to add a 20,000 lb steerable drop axle to compelment the 58,000 rears and the 20,000 front axle, the good news is now I can gross 79,000 lbs,the bad news is it cost me a whole bunch of money that sure could have used on something else.I had to give up the passenger fuel tank for a hyd tank and switch my rear mounted pto which i loved to a pain in the ass side mount pto pump combo that was quite picey, still have to get the right rims and tires, more money!
  10. Make sure the engine heater is working, they draw a lot of juce, the electric cord should feel warm after an hour or so and you should see a little spark when you pluk it in.
  11. Could be an air dryer but the focus is on the way they fixed it,I would have used bailing wire..lol
  12. I don't get it,why not hunt down a clean heavy spec RD 10/w,there out there!
  13. My wife and i just got back from Florida vaca,we drove there and back,I cant believe how slow the trucks were going on 95,at the most 65mph and it was joke when one passed the other, took forever, obciously govenered already, the speed limit is 70 mostly so the cars are doing 80 and the trucks are doing 65,not good!
  14. I'm right there with ya on that one,for me the worst part is crawling under the truck.
  15. Forgot all about the rim weight rating definitely will go with the 9 inch width, thanks
  16. Ok thanks for the info.
  17. I am in the process of having a 20000 lb steerable drop axle installed on my dump, thinking of going with 315/80-22.5 tires so looking around for a set of used aluminum 10 hole rims, will these tires fit on 8.25 or is 9 inch with a must. Thanks
  18. Who says running water wont freeze, lol
  19. Damn,I sure hope they keep those peneltys in Conn.and they dont migrate to NY!
  20. Around here most of all the big construction and paving company's are switching to Kenworth, owner operators as well,I'm sure its not about durability of the truck but more about attracting the best drivers with the comfort features of a Kenworth,Lets face it,Mack could care less about driver comfort, the guys that do a lot of off road work are still sticking with Macks because with out a doubt they are still the toughest truck built.
  21. I had one in my 83 rd and there was a bulldog on it somewhere not 100 percent sure if it said mack on it,truck was way to loud to listen to the radio, lol
  22. Joe,I have the grandfathered down state type 1 permit, all I need is a 16 foot wheel base and now starting in 2115 I will also need to have four axles,Ill be able to gross 79000 on my truck with the new drop axle,I know its stupid to have a drop axle with 58000 rears but that's what I have to do.
  23. A good welder might be able to repair it,worth a shot.
  24. If your truck is a CL then they would be 58000 or 44000,most likely 440000 if its a factory tri axle I just bought a 20000 drop axle for my 96 cl,mine was a factory 10 w dump with 58000 rears.
  25. Looks great but not so sure about mounting it rigid to the frame and the cab,you will need some room for flex and movement no?
