  1. Ask Barry at Watts, bet he has them.
  2. Those filters have to be available somewhere, still lots of trucks with that set up out there running everyday.
  3. And than they go ahead and install hundreds of acres of solar panels in the farm fields on Edwards Av,the people have not problem with that?its the most unsightly thing iv seen in years,Id rather see the dust trailing behind a tractor plowing said fields any day!!
  4. Wonder what kind of shape it's in now,any more info on it?
  5. Check your states weight laws and see what you can carry, you'll need to carry the same as everybody else on a paving job, make sure your truck will dump into a paver, sometimes depending on the body the tail gate will bottom out in the paver box before you can get it high enough for the asphalt to slide out.Good luck
  6. A four inch foam roller works great on rims,I use gray rustoleum with a little silver mixed in,looks awesome.
  7. I would go with the Eaton easy pedal, witch ever one mack recommends, most likely the same one that's in it now,its important to have the right torque rating.
  8. Nice job all around,a piece of carpet trim along the edge of your mats would look sweet and keep any dirt from getting underneath, thats how I did mine anyway.
  9. I never messed with mine on my 96 cl,e-7 but sometimes I wonder if it even works, can't tell any difference as far as smoke coming out of the stack doing a snap test with or without the brake applied, should i see a difference, one think for sure my oil stays clean between changes, there is no soot at all in the engine or the oil,But I have a feeling it should be getting more fuel.
  10. If your gonna drive it you will have to keep fluid in it,its almost impossible to steer a truck that has power steering that is disabled because of a bad pump or no fluid going to it.How bad does it leak, can you bring enough extra fluid with you to get home?
  11. It would be a shame to take away the low end power of a 237,those engines can really pull in the low rpm when you need it to.
  12. By leaving it the way it is you have the option of skipping a few gears here and there.
  13. The Mack white silicone is tough stuff, I know they used to recommend using it on the covers off the air to air charge air coolers on the older trucks, thats the only time I used it.
  14. No that won't be polished that's just a plain Jane muffler, most likely what you have on now, like i said you can cover it with a chrome guard,Raneys should have everything you need ,call or e-mail them tell what you want to do,if you want a chrome muffler look at Iowa 84 for some ideas,or maybe Raneys can get one for you, good luck
  15. Cast iron, are you sure of that,I did the exhaust on my 96 cl a few years back, got the under cab pipe that connects to the muffler for about 150 and it was chrome also scored a chrome Donaldson free flow muffler 5'' for 200,found chrome clamps and hardware on there also for cheap, all on e-bay,search on line, there's plenty of places to buy from, what ever you do why powder coat anything,u cant see it under the cab and you can can get a chrome muffler guard to cover the muffler, also some people use flex for the under cab pipe.
  16. The higher you go the less sound in the cab, they do make drop in mufflers,no idea how well they work. This was straight five inch I put on my 83,wasn't loud in the cab at all unless the window was open.
  17. Thanks i had a rear mount and then switched to the side mount when we installed a drop axle because there wasn't enough room for the two piece rear mount, the shop that did the work told me at first he would install a one piece rear mount but then said he couldn't find one and went wit a side mount, maybe ill give mack a call, the side mount is a pain in the ass to use..
  18. Does any one know if there is a rear mount one piece pto/pump that fits a Mack 12 speed trany?
  19. Is this the engine shut down light that your talking about,I have the same problem on my 96 cl,If you figure it out please let me know.
  20. Same specs as there 10/w dumps, probably the only thing that will stay together on them city streets..
  21. What are the weight laws there, how much do for hire trucks carry legally because that what you have haul, keep in mind that a new drop axle is 6 or 7 grand and a few thou to install, that's with out tires,I know because i just had one installed on my 10/w dump and like someone else said 58 rears on a tri is over kill, its what i have on mine but that's what I had already,44 rears is what u want..Good luck
