Sure no expert on this trans, sounds like a o ring blown on reverse shift rail, i'm sure somebody more knowledgable on these will comment. terry -

generally to get it cleaned right between radiator and C.A.C. to pull cooler out and clean it and radiator real good. terry

if you look close on the engine data tag, it says engine exhaust emission control information , don't think they worried about emissions back then, probably a replaced engine ? terry -

I believe the earlier Mack’s, after the flywheel housing was dialed in, you reamed the holes for a oversized dowel then tapped them in. Terry
