  1. Pieces of candy! How did you clean the power plant parts up before primering? Power wash? Or wire wheeling?
  2. Thank you for sharing the nice stuff. The pteradactyls are pretty. Like the Duck truck. Do they use it as a sight seeing rig? It was probably posted someting about it a long while back.
  3. Not many big bulldogs this time but the most of the aims were shut well with your photo gun. Nice Jimmy truck.
  4. You guys are wrong. Nice truck, I would be glad to get my book lighter if it's closer for a half of the world. No kidding though. RWS with 866 seems as a rare and interesting setup. If it's factory.
  5. I would say those black mud flaps seem to me as the only way to get the correct style stuff. It was discussed many times on here and the most other options of old ages were found out no longer avalible. Sure you may find a happy chance to get a nice set from some person but I don't remember anything showed out for a while. I myself ordered the black set from Watt's and happy with them. It's sure more difficult to me to get anything becase I'm overseas but I was keeping my eye on this matter for no less than a couple of years. Neat looking B-model you posted, good luck on the project. Vlad
  6. Congrats on that small step wich moved you project forward
  7. Seems like a good thing in General. Minor filing doesn't seem to me as a trouble. Worth $300 on my mind. If it finally sits well and able to hold bataries I would say it's good work out. Thanks again for sharing the experience.
  8. Is that PAI floor mat a rubber or wool covered?
  9. Cool trunk keeper! Might be either used as a garage door art.
  10. Your right Paul, That Russian two stroker was a slightly reworked copy of 71 series. Had metric hardwear though. That's not good because I can't steal any rusty bolt from it to put on my Mack. They were 4 and 6 cylinder engines, were in production up middle 60's.
  11. I would go with radials to drive but the ones you put have very cool look
  12. That's an adventure Jim. I've got my R threadle valve stuck after not going for a while and had to spill some ATF oil on it to get it loose. Talking with Tracy at Watts I was promised to be sent with that rubber boot by other parts ocassion. To the moment Tracy is no longer at Watts so now I'm in the need of allmighty Barry. Thank you for sharing the info.
  13. I would say you need to attach a test tool. It might be pedal sensor or electronic throttle drive. Or any small sensor you might have no idea of its existance. Might be bad connection either.
  14. BC, my hats off to your seated coach deal. There was very interesting Russian intercity bus of the 50's - ZIS-127. Two stroke diesel, 60mph, aircraft seats, 851 example built. There are remains of 5 or 6 now in existance. One relatively solid is possibly avalible to get. Need lots of work sure. If I want to have a bus I would go that way. But I know it would be a death.
  15. Thank you for directing to the info. Interesting.
  16. Good find indeed. I agree, you need some while to figure out what to do with it. From the pics it looks restorable. If you're going to try the crank to turn ower it's better to put some fuel into cylinders and let it stay for a week or so. Than try to turn. The result might be too different. It it's stuck really hard due to rust in the liners the only way is repair. Good luck on the project. Vlad
  17. Hope all the lost folks will get back smooth.
  18. Ray, thank you for posting. Neat Dodge wagon and RW. And it seems they transformer haulers have a wonderful life
  19. Once I tracked down the costs and got the lighter version 4635 more expensive than the heavy one. And looks like I'm far from the need of the box at the moment
  20. All our social life is based on shortening individual's interests into grow up interests of a socium. It's always was, is and will be. The only matter is a balance. Much individual's free means democracy. Little is a dictature. Every body is in between. Somewhere... Kscarbel, thank you for sharing. Some of those aircraft might fly in to my neighbourhood.
  21. Looks like about a perfect replacement. I agree on the need to repaint. You never know what they applied on it but see quite good how the original "rust protective coverage" is gone long ago allowing the steel to fall into pieces. Was the rubber latch a part of the set or you bought it separately?
  22. http://www.wattstruckcenter.com/store/
  23. You better go to Watt's online store page, find them there in the "Antique Mack parts" and make an order. There's a lot of other B model stuff you might be enjoyed to see. Vlad
  24. You need to start mark your area of habitation. For first put a Cat dozer with a mail box near the entrance, than you could make a "small" manure pool in the "back yard" not far from the main road and so on. After removing some shit in the future neighbours will be happy.
  25. Somebodies' fun is job to others. Hope everything will turn out smooth.
