  1. Keith, thank you for sharing this. Your R looks great, the only sorrt on my mind you ran out of the long fuel tanks. They were not so shiny though. Beautiful light green B with black fenders.
  2. I double it since ran out of likes either. That driver in white Freightliner seems not experienced enough off-roading. Maybe his fault was just a wrong thinking on the truck properties. Sure it was long enough and painted white but I would say Ossum Possum might have better chances competiting with it. Oh, maybe another reason. Green Dash being first on that way made too deep traces in the ground. Neat Detroit pics road scenaries and those wild animal shots are the exsellent shots. Especially the last one. Still wonder why to add gold to planting mix...
  3. Hmmm... Don't remember seeing any cow with a helmet on. Hope you're Ok and the power is back on. Speedy recovery to your mother in law.
  4. Looks like you had a nice day. A lot of neat trucks. By the word green RW with black and white strips seems related to one of our members either. There were pics of it posted in the gallery some while back.
  5. From looking the pic your pump absolutely sure has its own oil bath. Separated from the engine, has the seal over the drive shaft in front. Looks generally the same as my American Bosch off Lanova. My manual tells true about it though.
  6. I agree, the KW is my favorite. Many nicely restored small old trucks either. Is the yellow with blue van box Reo? Thank you for posting BC.
  7. I have 2 original hoods at the moment and can sacrifize one of them since it's beaten up pretty hard. The other seem fixable but need work over the front hinge area so there's a risk of stress cracks in the future. The same worries to length up the rear edge. Paul, what do you mean of the hinge moving? Does a long hood have additional fatt in the hinge mounting area and hinges with brackets take the same place on frame rails?
  8. BS and unbeliveable stupidity again. Prohibitation and limitation is the easiest way. Much more difficult is to study people what the things were and what was good and bad. And than you wouldn't became racist of fashist just observing Swastika or Confederation flag. Closing such symvols from a show they take facts off the history. They deform the history that way. And the history will not be usable to teach lessons for the future.
  9. Those stories above are really sad and sound like nightmares. Although it doesn't seem to me as a shortage of moral. I'd say it's unhealthy psichics. Such folks can't be called "humans" on my mind. And should be separated from the society, to jail or a closed hospital, no principal matter. The sadness of those facts is that 100% of any population can't be absolutely "normal". Some ones might be bad exceptions. And to our great sorry they can have kids or contact with. Maybe I use to live in the other kind of society but liberalism doesn't seem to me as the way to deal with such people.
  10. Found this locally. Locally means 1000 km away though. There are remains of some R-model and the owner said it was R686. Front axle, rears, tranny and the hood. I was going to check it out but got a doubt. My interest is to use the hood for my R wich is R688ST with E6-350 and air-to-air front mounted. Is a R686 part 1 inch shorter and how bad it could be put instead? By the word, any thoughts on the paint scheme? Any familiarity?
  11. Happy 4th of July Gentlemen!
  12. Best wishes to all the birthday guys! And personally to JT!
  13. Looks great so far. Hope to see it finished soon. Good luck on the progress.
  14. Good news! Hope you've got enough of a positive to continue fighting rust and small issues. Have a ball.
  15. The cab and hood in the grass on the last pic look like they are being there for a long long while. The best spot to be in at the moment.
  16. Neat bus and pretty interesting fact is taking out on a surface.
  17. BC, thank you for pointing out the nuances. Nobody can do it as perfect if hasn't put his hands on. Glad to see the work checked off the list.
  18. Have a great show guys! Hope it will be. Don't forget to share the dog pics with the long distant members.
  19. Pieces of candy! How did you clean the power plant parts up before primering? Power wash? Or wire wheeling?
  20. Thank you for sharing the nice stuff. The pteradactyls are pretty. Like the Duck truck. Do they use it as a sight seeing rig? It was probably posted someting about it a long while back.
  21. Not many big bulldogs this time but the most of the aims were shut well with your photo gun. Nice Jimmy truck.
  22. You guys are wrong. Nice truck, I would be glad to get my book lighter if it's closer for a half of the world. No kidding though. RWS with 866 seems as a rare and interesting setup. If it's factory.
  23. I would say those black mud flaps seem to me as the only way to get the correct style stuff. It was discussed many times on here and the most other options of old ages were found out no longer avalible. Sure you may find a happy chance to get a nice set from some person but I don't remember anything showed out for a while. I myself ordered the black set from Watt's and happy with them. It's sure more difficult to me to get anything becase I'm overseas but I was keeping my eye on this matter for no less than a couple of years. Neat looking B-model you posted, good luck on the project. Vlad
  24. Congrats on that small step wich moved you project forward
  25. Seems like a good thing in General. Minor filing doesn't seem to me as a trouble. Worth $300 on my mind. If it finally sits well and able to hold bataries I would say it's good work out. Thanks again for sharing the experience.
