  1. Ford built and designed they say, although I've read that Italian Iveco might have had their hand in designing it.
  2. It was Braum's milk so it was the best of the best for store bought stuff. Still at $5.80+ per gallon I'm convinced its cheeper to keep a milk cow around. I'd guesstimate that the population of coyotes is more than equal to the population of people in my county. Each year a contest is held to see who can kill the most in one day. The winner is usually gets 20-30 and overall the contest kills 50-100+. The trapping/fur markets still big around here.
  3. Troubles seem to start in the rear HI-LO boxes on these Mack transmissions. From what I've heard rebuilds are tricky and not to many around to do it anymore ($). They can be swapped out for an Eaton but Im not sure about airline and clutch specifics. If your wanting to keep the driveline all Mack I'd look for a 12 speed, they're really nice if you do a lot of backing and seem to hold up pretty well.
  4. Don't eat out all that often but even the cheapest ingredients have gone up. $35 for 6 gallons of milk which will last the week. To make things worse a fox got all but one of our chickens the other day so no more fresh eggs
  5. Jokes aside It really does look similar to the 80s Ford CL9000 cabovers here in America. Don't know if they ever made it over to Europe so might just be a coincidence. I'd say they are my 2nd favorite cabover, behind the Mh of course.
  6. RPReplay_Final1702073190.mov "I have personally taste-tested each and every household insecticide" -Dale Gribble
  7. Forgot that Autocar was still kicking. I think the newest Autocar I've seen was a garbage truck.
  8. Good looking truck! Hope you can return the bulldog back to its pedestal.
  9. At some point I'd think it would be more cost effective to go with tracks than all those axles and tires!
  10. Also might stop at the Cozy Inn burger joint while you're in Salina. I always try to stop there if I'm going through,
  11. Long ways to go for some sprayer booms, what's is it off of? I've always seen Canadians always come to this area to buy equipment that is so worn out I don't see why it would be worth it. The real thinker is that most of the equipment they buy was made in Canada or somewhere north, so why would they come all this way to buy it back?! Good to hear that about our roads but wait till you reach OK then the roads get real bad! While you're in the area you might swing through Pratt and see the park lights, or maybe ride the Wilmore carousel if you really wanting to burn time. Not many exciting things to do around here...
  12. Doesn't sound like all that much especially with 400 horse and 6.14 ratio. 32,000lbs of water plus whatever trailer is being used should be a cake walk, although liquid transport is tricky on any sort of grade.
  13. Couldn't agree more. I love their planetary rears! As I understand it Mack had something similar to that for years.
  14. Couldn't tell you what specific PSI, but if you are testing all 6 injectors and they are close to the same popping pressure then you should be good. Spray pattern is whats most important when testing injectors.
  15. I don't even like using Crisco seasoning pans anymore, never mind cooking and baking with it. Animal fats the way to go! I know this sounds like something off of The Beverly Hillbillies but raccoon fat is the best if you can find some. Bacon grease would work but its better to find some with no salt in it.
  16. Fords really the only one of the big 3 still in the 6500 and up class. Freightliner filled up the gap they left behind.
  17. Sounds fun! I don't know anything about how you would get a license if you're a non citizen. You shouldn't need a CDL, and as far as I understand anything under 26,000 lbs will not require anything but a license. There isn't much regulations on the small stuff In regards to weight.
  18. Ok now I see why you'd need a swivel or universal joint type extension. We've gotten a couple "flexible extensions" before but they seem to be more of a gimmick and twist when you put to much torque on them. The worst bolt removal that I can think of at the moment is the top bolt of the later GM transfer cases. Once you figure out a system of ratchets and swivel extensions its not so bad but figuring it out for the first time without being able to see it is the worst!
  19. Do you think you could get it with a crows foot? I've never taken apart a tip turbine before but I wish the best of luck to you. I know some of the higher horse tip turbine engine had coolant going through them as well, so that would be even more stuff to take apart.
  20. I would say that if it isn't valve clearance it could be a lifter. There is a cam/lifter cover on the right hand (turbo) side of the engine, that's where I would look next if I was chasing a tick. Post some pictures maybe someone on here can spot something.
  21. We never had the facilities to hang ours up in the cool. We would get a clean shot through the head then someone would run and quickly cut the jugular while the heart was still beating to get most of the blood out. We would hang it up using a bale bed or hoisted it up through the rafters of a shed to do the quartering. Definitely not professional butchers by any means but man it tastes good. Haven't done hogs yet but my neighbor had one of those large hog processing pots. They seem close to impossible to find.
  22. $20 to $50 and up can get you a deer tag some years, in my state that is. We really like jerky so that's what we do with ours if we get a deer. I live in beef country so some ranchers will call us if they have a broken leg cow they can't sell. We get beef cheep or free but it takes a lot of work to butcher right. I've been stuck eating a lot of tuna lately, even here meat prices get pretty pricey.
