well I did make some progress on the sportster. too bad the front tire has cracks in the side walls. It has les than 100 miles on it, so now I need one of those too. does anyone else feel nervous about my rigging? I was .....

Yeah, i guess so. I only suggested a few squirt's of lube in the intake, to free them up.. of course, the governor is likely stuck, are they still under $30.00 ? . It sat for a year....

The Trike is like a fat chick... Its fun to ride but, dont let You're friends see you.. Really..... It is a sweet ride. Air ride suspension, cruise control, Harmen Karden stereo, 103 C.I.D. / 6 speed gear box. And we can pack clothes and supplies for a weekend. That is if we actually went away for a weekend.. 🤔

Yep. All mine. My favorite is the sportster.. Fun to ride and its ok if i scratch it. The Trike is one i bought for Terri.. we also have a 1997 Honda 750 Magna..

Well,,, I was going to work on my '48 KB-7 tomorrow,,, but.... I need to do oil changes and P.M. inspections on these Jewels.. They sat for a year, and asked me to love on them.. And My wife had something to say about it too. Now that the ENDT is out of my shop , I can take care of my fleet. Sportster needs a rear tire, which I got yesterday.. Gonna bring the motorcycle lift in the shop tomorrow.

shut the engine, remove the intake on the air comp head and spray some penetrating oil in the ports and start the engine with the intake off. it may have sticking unloader valves. you can spray a little shot while running it, but just spray small shots, not a steady stream. D-2 Gov's are cheap, so you may need one if it is sticking as well.

He said that he doesnt have a jake brake (common terms not knowing about dynatard) . We only see the alt gauge drop off, and no other reactions from other gauges, or lights, or ??? Its vague.

You are sure its fuel ? Did you do a halo test or oil sample test?

Fair thinking, im grabbing at straws after reading the post. Is there raw fuel smoke? Bad injector ?? Low power/missfire, stuck piston rings

Hmm. I need to think on this one. Did you look outside starting at the firewall and follow the clutch cable to the release arm? Did you check the small cab ground wires behind the cluster to see if they are tight ?

You can put it either way, they still suck. Best way to control flow is a valve at the water pump and one on the rear water manifold instead of the nipple that's there. P.S. we care,, any solution posted is valuable -
with 2 orings. or a football gasket on the steering pump side and an o-ring on the compressor bearing side. oil will be inside the coupling housing, but wont leak out if the 2 orings or gasket and oring is in place. I prefer the football gasket for the steering pump side.

Thanks bud. Gosh, I have a lot of tools. My shop is 22' wide and 45' long, and its still too small.. well, maybe not.... Since i dont work on big trucks anymore.. now I can maintain my own stuff. I do have 1 more Mack engine in there. Its 75% done. I will work on it here and there. It belongs to one of the guys on BMT... I also have a bunch of tools that a friend sent me, that needs to be sorted out and put in its own tool chest. I may try to condense one of the 3 that I have, and make room for these special tools
