  1. good deal, yes it could be more ''mechanic'' friendly.. glad you got it out with out damage, I forgot about the A/C lines..
  2. Hey Mack Hamer??? can you post some pics from both sides, not close ups? I get mad at myself when I cant answer a question like yours because I know these trucks, but I am rusty on the fine details for some reason..
  3. Macks... did you take a minute to roll through the 124 pages?
  4. I tried to create a post about part numbers a couple of weeks ago, but didnt do a good job of it. I was able to find the complete copy of a book that I have. It covers a lot different parts of the truck. it is 124 pages, and has Mack part numbers that you can use when you call Watt's Mack to buy the parts. I hope you find this to be better than my last attempt to help people find part numbers. there are E-6 and Gas engine part numbers, for example. Jojo KSA&A Book.pdf
  5. You must have the setup with about 1 inch of space. I'm a bit rusty, but I think I took the fan blade loose and slid it to the engine and then took out the clutch bolts.. I may have removed all but 1 clutch bolt first, and got the last one loose, then took the fan blade loose.. I may have drained a couple gallons out, so i could take the top hose off the radiator and loosen the supports to lean the radiator back.. the hood will need to be supported. At least you can stand inside the hood opening.
  6. Standard bearing... If you see a p-2 that's .010" over, p-3 is .020" over..
  7. Well, there goes the easy part..
  8. aux shaft bushing issue is like hens teeth.. when you drop the pan, roll the engine and look for machinist stamping. if the crank was turned there will be a measurement stamped in the counter weight at the journal that was cut.. also, when you push the bearings out, (1 at a time) .. when you look at the part number, there should be a P-1,P-2 ect. if they are not P-1.. the journal was cut. this will help you choose the correct bearing thickness.. and yes, rods and mains will improve oil pressure.
  9. Space-x launches a 400' rocket with 39 engines and it failed and explode, plus it dropped junk to the ground or atmosphere.... and the rocket people are ok with it.... but my old Chevy truck is destroying the ozone layer, along with all of everything we drive accept E.V.'s. even though to produce an E.V. you have to burn fossil fuel... Yep, I'm Dizzy now.. what say you.??
  10. I would be proud to own that truck... even with out the crane.. 👍
  11. Is the 454 fully mechanical?
  12. No, just picking at Mech.. there is still the spring steel wedge in the edge of the door that holds the key hole in place..
  13. Oh Hell... that is amazing, of course I dont know what you are talking about. I am not a farmer.. but I do something similar in my small neighborhood.. When the Not white drug dealers on my road disrupt our nice road, I call the law.. They get here when they can,.. when I say, they are off the chain and I am armed and I'm in my yard making sure they dont go crazy and so-on, they are here in less than 20 minutes.. The Law knows what the hell is going on.. I guess in my case,,, I know what to say.. Yet to be handcuffed, jojo
  14. looks like you pulled rod caps.. good deal, however, Main #2 + #5 feed the top end. Did you pull those?
  15. On an E-7, it is easy to set the pushrod next to the lifter instead of in it.. so when you install the new one, just be sure you are in the lifter.
  16. Mech.... I was hoping you would get the joke.. Luv You Man.. jojo
  17. I love messin with you.. yes,, you can change out the door locks in a few minutes.... and the ign. switch. is not too bad either.. just need a 10'' adjustable and a pick to get that done..
  18. 2 minutes if your aim is good,, getting the stem to hit its target can test your patience. But yes, as Mech says, 2 minute job..
  19. as I read this thread, the more I really like internationals.. Me and my best friend had scouts back in the mid 80's, and I currently own a 48 KB-7, as you may know.. I am really leaning towards wanting more IH's of any kind.. Thanks for the inspiration.. Jojo
  20. I always stand on the side of farmers. They are the life blood of our survival. Its hard work, but the idea is simple, till, sow, reap. propagate... then do it again.. with respect to you Bob. I by know means say that farming is just plain simple, it take a special person to raise our food and lumber and cloth, and so on. Jojo
  21. Bob, It's just more of Biden selling us out,, that's all..
  22. I have heard that Canada owns a lot of our farms.. the 30% I heard mentioned China.. I guess its best tonhere itbfrom a true farmer.. i still dont like it, we need to own our land. Thank you Bob...
  23. Well your doin good, and I like that you are here. We all learn from each other.. Jojo
  24. I don't believe a short block is available, just long blocks, they call them Basics..
