  1. Id say a lot of black carbon like debris was restricting flow out of the compressor. Is there a pressure relief valve on the copressor head ? If not, i suggest adding one. We use 150 PSI releif valves.
  2. Awesome !!
  3. So true fjh. When Mack went WID numbers, the whole parts room was turned upside down. Our shop allowed some of us mechanicsnin the parts room with a parts guy, and many parts were grouped together as they related to each other. For example 'AX' was bolts. I have forgotten a lot, so i dont have many examples. Sorry Freightrain, I felt compelled to divert a bit. Did you download the KSA&A Book ? It is very helpful..
  4. It is supposed to say "P20" not P2.. I hope they work with you..
  5. Ok. Could be.. i have been away from those models for 7 years or so and have forgotten a lot...
  6. I hope so too.. we all have some good/great things to offer here at BMT. I know I have helped some, and some have helped me.. Like I always say.... Its a Brotherhood...
  7. I like the part about the difference between a truck driver, and a trucker. I tried to be a trucker, but found after almost 5 years that it is not in my blood. Being a truck mechanic was in my blood. I have great respect for the Trucker... My brother-in-law is a Trucker.. Hell my wife is more of a Trucker than I am. Stay proud Duck,,, I know what its like to be part of a dying breed. Maybe one day you will influence a new Trucker.... if you havent already..
  8. Happy Birthday D-Day!! 🎂 🥳
  9. As far as manuals go, the engine, trans, and rears are seperate and generic for lack of a better word. The engine is a E-7 350, dont know the trans, the rears are likely 92/93 series. As far as wiring, I dont know what book that would be. If you have a 200 series mack transmission, i have the book for it, drive shaft, and the rears. I dont have an extra E-7 book.
  10. If im right, down is low engine breaking, and up is high engine breaking.
  11. Engine brake..
  12. Is the D-2 governor new ? If not, they are cheap enough to just replace it. You can try to spray a very light oil into the intake of the compressor and gently tapping on the head with it running while doing this. 7 months idle may have them stuck.
  13. 70 degrees or more colder ....
  14. I think you can... Besides,,, if you put the hub back on with new bearings and seal and do clean work, you wont ever need to do it again. Hell, trace it out on a peice of cereal box cardboard to make a template, and make one from some thin steel later on. You wont 'f' it up, and you will have an extra. Just sayin'....
  15. Are you getting a throttle pedal code ? I think its 6-5. And yes, the TPS on the pedal can be the issue.
  16. Well, you and Mech responded.. 🍻
  17. Happy Birthday to QuickFarms. Havent seen him in a while. 🎂🍻
  18. They are pissed because their agenda is dissolved. Simple...
  19. It is sickening that CBS, ABC, and NBC news , will tell the story about the illegal alien and make it a Trump admin issue... They only showcase Latin people that are "hard working family citizens" Ok, well ??? Why are they not LEGAL? They need to pay the same taxes as we do. For me... its about being legal, and paying into the system. Then you can vote, or serve in the Military, or law enforcement, and education as long as you give your heart to the United State of America!!
  20. The flaps are behind the center section where the controls are. If you have never pulled one apart, you need to be patient and aware that there are cables and not long wires. You can lean it back and reach in to disconnect it. You need to look at the plug on the fan speed switch as well as the back of the speed switch for loose blades and dark spots. Its an Indak switch and cheap enough to replace...
  21. Yeah.... What MarkT said....
  22. as far as the fire ring goes, I was taught to place the sharp edge down. The ring should fit nicely around the top of the liner
  23. No sealant...
