  1. A little info on the red B in the background? Any other Macks? The factory puts the glass in after painting, Makes sense to I guess. I can relate to your 1500 ft. driveway Every snow storm the driveway gets smaller Keep up the good work.
  2. Didn't Mason Dixon have short hood B65's with the wide radiator.
  3. Tell him to add some new black and red Granites to the fleet.
  4. One of the few Kenworths I like is the High hood T-800.
  5. This cranky old fart thinks: Texas bumper gotta go, full wheel covers gotta go, two horns gotta go, big stacks gotta go, other than that not bad.
  6. Wishfull thinking. 1) Are their any common parts between Scania and Mack v8's. I know the heads are way different (8 vs 4) 2) I know anything could be done, but how hard would it be to drop a Scania V8 in a superliner or MH
  7. Seems like ford is really missing out here by only using their in house 6.7 Mack and Volvo on the other hand are not only missing out on this eng/tran combo but a medium duty truck as well.
  8. McClure RD # 95 is also ex Rawson. Rawson used to have a bunch of CL's and a couple of vision tractors Red and black. Before that they had some R dumps pulling pup dump trailers(odd for CT). Towards the end of the Mack era they had a few red and black Granites and one light blue Granite.
  9. I havn't seen a Rawson truck in a couple of years. Are they O & G colors now. Does Rawson have any Macks left?
  10. :)A Mack test drive? Or maybe a new Mack?
  11. Looks like it wouldn't be as stiff. Softer ride.
  12. Pray it works out for you Pal
  13. I am surprised they got rid of Mack #5. I thought that was the one the owners son drove.
  14. Somewhere on these threads were internal black and white photos of the factory workers in the assembly area. Also a great color yard shot at Allentown Showing B's G's H's and F's ready for shipment. Must have been early sixties.
  15. Seems like Prospect is just a tanker fleet, I'll have to take a drive down there and see whats up.
  16. Prospect seems to be a class act. Heavy Mack user Granites and CH axle forwards. Employees seem to like being employed by them. Good luck towards the Marquardts.
  17. :)I guess Marquardt sold out to Prospect.
  18. There is a thread on Allentown factories somewhere on here with many photos. I think I started it but I wouldn't know how to find it. I guess you may be able to search Allentown factories.
  19. The big picture is that once the joint ventures are over, China will be able to construct and manufacture any thing. The west will be kicked out and we will have created a Communist manufacturing monster.
  20. Looks like the last F model off the assembly line for sure. Great job. May bee Bulldog magazine could do a story.
  21. It is a shame that there are so many Mack stories to be told by people who don't know about this site. Factory workers, engineers, sales etc. It would be great to hear from them. ,
  22. I believe Mack was making trailers in the seventies also.
  23. Does Mack still make this transmission?
