  1. KS: Paccar gets there foot in the door with long time Mack users by offering big power in their lowboys and trailer dumps. The straight dumps follow. Granted as you say the KW/Pete dumps with the X12 is a great product. Also Malvo doesn' help them selves with there injector cup issues.
  2. Yes agree square up the grill. Autocar just purchased a one million square foot manufacturing and assembly building in Birmingham Alabama. As far as heavy haul goes I am not sure they have enough bonnet for an x15. We shall see.
  3. Volvo must have the same issues. No? Keep it under 400 HP. No wonder they are out of heavy haul. It sounds like increasing bolt cross section might be the answer provided there is enough head meat to allow this. Selling more injectors/cups/labor vs loss of market share is a no should be a no brainer. It used to be that field testing new products should take about 18 months to correct design defects. May bee Volvo thought it was 18 years.
  4. New Granite heavy haul perhaps? Wish full thinking.
  5. I have been wondering why Autocar has not been building a conventional for years. They have all the things needed, engineering and design, factory, assembly line, vendor suppliers, dealer network and customer base. Plus former Mack users.
  6. A Gateway tri axle Mack Granite passed me on 95. Used to be all Pete fleet.
  7. RIP along with the MP10. Nice shot though.
  8. They also should be showing growth in the construction segment which doesn't seem to be happening either.
  9. May bee Donald Trump and Putin have a sidebar agreement on trade. Russia seems to be outside of the big international trade agreements with the US
  10. I wonder how many old macks are hiding around in garages and back fenced in areas of the big cities. Probably a gold mine out of sight out of mind.
  11. wow! how does one keep all this straight?
  12. It's about time. Great news if true.
  13. About seventy years behind Mack; however the Paccar product is all Paccar front to back with a little help from subsidiary DAF.
  14. B Models looked so good as mixers
  15. Searched the web could not find one example of a T-Line other than on the T-line web site.
  16. Used to see them all the time on 395/52. They used to have the last super dog ever built. I wonder where it is now? Would be nice to see it at the West Springfield show comming up.
  17. You go T-Line. The 9800 and 9000 looks like it can be speced for a great lowboy/heavy haul truck. Might look good with a super dog grill on the front.
  18. Like the green one.
  19. Doesn't Volvo see this happening to Mack?
  20. Lindhall started that trend years ago.
  21. When I worked in the 345,000 volt yard it was a minimum clearance of 15 ft. Not a place for a crane operator with happy fingers.
  22. Need more old time Mack factory shots. May bee a Mack factory thread.
