  1. Beautiful truck. I had that truck as my computer wallpaper a few years back. Just curious-what are you replacing it with?
  2. you can see why. All those Euro cabs look like they are falling on their face.
  3. Decent looker for a Euro cab.
  4. Looking good for Paccar and MX. Not so good for Cummins and Mack.
  5. All aboard. I used to work in a fuel injection shop about 45 years ago. We had different size wires for poking the carbon out of the spray tips. Make sure all of the spray holes are about equal in diameter. Soak them in solvent before cleaning
  6. There is a battle going on between the God fearing Conservatives and the NWO/Satanic/Demoncrats. Better to have God on your side than Satan.
  7. If I had that I'd take a picture of it every day. What year did the RD's get the new hood 91?
  8. They have quite an imagination. Looks like one of those running lizards that puffs out his cheeks. What are the specs?
  9. Those must have been 30,000 lb rears Roncari had about 10 of those back in the 60's working out of the East Granby Ct pit.
  10. Mack set the standard for ruggedness for others to follow.
  11. IAP- Does that mean that the driver is less than intelligent?
  12. Would make the perfect Mack mid range /class seven truck.
  13. Alright EPA enough is enough. I thought president Trump was going to reign in those out of control beurocrats.(I don't have a prayer of spelling that right).
  14. I saw one of those years ago on the interstate. Afterwards I had no idea what I had just seen.
  15. That's the one. Thanks
  16. Senile me messed up. The long nose GMC set back axle was a Preston 151 line truck. Terebecki the trucking pioneers book two page 184.
  17. Yes it might have been a 9500. I guess all of those Yellow freight GMC's were 8500's
  18. There is money in heavy haul to my way of thinking. In the northeast when Mack didn't offer a decent priced right heavy haul product Paccar filled the bill. When Paccar got there foot in the door the dump trucks followed. Cases in point in Connecticut; Tomasso, Manafort, Cherry Hill etc. Mass RI Vt & NH are probably similar. eKennedy and hicrop10 lets hope you are right.
  19. I was looking through one of the Terabecki books the other day and under the yellow freight segment it showed a long nose set back axle GMC 8500. Never saw one of these before. I wonder what the story is here? What engine? Yellow had numerous 8500's at one time . May still be a few kicking around along with the ABF CH Mack's and IH 9000's.
  20. KS: I believe Volvo is thinking along these lines. In order to establish a heavy haul presence for Volvo they would have to eliminate some competition, namely an easy target the Mack Titan. Eliminating the rest of the competition is not so easy. The truck buying public will do that by not buying Volvo heavy hall.
  21. KS: If it is not very expensive for Ford to produce a new medium duty cab then it shouldn't be to much money for Volvo to make an extended hood Pinnacle to take a big bore engine. Now we know that the Mack medium duty is late to the party when is this mystery model scheduled for an appearance. Not to soon I guess as they only have two engineers assigned working out of a storage trailer.
  22. Back to hauling pork chops for that driver.
  23. Anyone out there have these in their fleet and how do they stack up. I know Mack says the Granite is the number one construction platform but this doesn't seem to square with the number of 800's and 880's all over the place.
