  1. Prowrench: Do a search for Celli in the search section and you will have some great reading material. 57bcr on this website knew Mr. celli as a friend. As a kid growing up in Illinois Celli dumps turned me into the truck nut I am today.
  2. Would look good with an airstream camper on back. Hard to find these rust free. Good capture.
  3. Seems as though Shaker quality is increasing in the municipal market. Cumaparts are a proven product. Mack MHD with Cummins is probably over priced even at bare bones specs
  4. I was born in Chicago and raised in Winnetka, Wheeling and Gurnee. Hendricksons were all over the place in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin construction. Probably as common as IH and Mack and more popular than Autocar and White
  5. Yes agree with the 743. WC 28 for runner of the White 4000/9000 coup cab. Did Cummins also have a 672 cu in diesel?
  6. Take the wrecker body off and make an air stream camper.
  7. In looking through the Mack body builders PDF (I may be wrong) but it seems that every Mack conventional is 116" BBC. If that's true no wonder they have a 5% market share. One size fits all. I read in a trucking pub (HDT I think) that back in 2010 a Mack corporate spokesman said with the 116 BBC we may have some problems filling customer specs. Gee ya think.

  9. Macks are getting fewer and fewer in truck pulls even in PA. I could puke every time I see a low riding Paccar with a Texas bumper about an inch of the ground and painted full fender flares on the duals.

  18. Bullet was ahead of its time. Its to bad Hendrickson doesn't get back into heavy haul specialty business. Suspension is about half the battle along with some other off the shelf items.
  19. What ever happened to U model nut Vinney ? Did the U ever get done?
  20. Maxidyne: Were there many Titans sold in the upper mid west for dual trailer operations? Titans should have been competative there as well as western logging and eastern coal. Not to mention lowboy service. There was an argument that Titans were over priced at 150,000 dollars or so. I would guess since Paccar has the market sowed up that they could charge what ever they want now.

  22. Perhaps they should offer off the shelf parts for the cab interior just as you would for drive trains, chassis and suspensions.
