  2. took a drive today, just this little rotor was on deck, the big'uns im guessing were on the fire.Caught a nice break yesterday, wind shifted and blew back on the fire sending it towards Canada again. Also temp dropped 30 degrees only 73 here today and also a few rain showers! The neighbor is making out well renting his place to the fire crew, $1200.00 a day, maybe i need a fire closer to me so i get a little mad....oops i meet MACK money
  3. spent way too much time on a terex ts18 8v71 front engine 6v53 rear engine and you could always tell when you stood on that rear throttle, birds would fly away and local dogs would bury their heads!
  4. well i guess we're safe out here! can only use white gas or propane on public lands! all others ban due to fire danger.................or so they say....hummmmmm.
  5. i dont know about giving a rattle snake such a bad rap! I think shee more like a boa, she will squeeze us until we can no longer breathe!
  6. Hey 41 if you get them two sayings printed up for bumper stickers i would take 20 if you could get them printed for under 10.00 each or so
  7. Ok. you cant tease me like that! a DART? did they ever make it west of the mississippi? or was this a east coast rig for the most part. I did get the r series ih cab also, but never heard of a DART it almost looks like a fwd but not quite. judging by the hood length it looks loke a 12v71 would fit!
  8. once again the good stuff is on the wrong corner of the planet!
  9. i can't even use trust! and Hillary in the same sentance!
  10. I must admit I'm a little disapointed............ the batteries arn't charged and that the lights were not on!..........LOL
  11. Mike thanks for the trip! I wish some body would take one of them old steamers to a tractor pull and hook it to the sled! however with the boilers being so old i'm sure we could never see FULL power of these tractors, but the old photos of them plowing are almost unbelievable, and I would love to see it in person.
  12. Hey B.C. could you turn your fan down a little!........either Vancover BLOWS! .....or Spokane SUCKS? which ever it is, the Arnald fire smoke is commimg right at me.Looks like it's blowing up a little this afternoon! couldn't hardly see any smoke from it this morning.
  13. have any ideas for toasted cherrys? had about 14 tons burn up in that wenatchee fire.
  14. glad every thing is alright! we didnt have any fire works here either,THANK GOD! the wind blew around 20 and gusted to 40, damn glad the fire truck stayed in the driveway!!! one house in town wasnt as lucky, got the roof burnt off by some dumb bugger with fireworks.
  15. THANKS B.C.! guess i should have went north and cooled off a bit eh! and seen some nice iron to boot. the ford/mercery fire truck do you remember what year it is? thanks again for the pics.
  16. when we can kill a fellow emplyee, and then proclaim"WHAT DIFFERANCE DOES IT MAKE"......YES WHE HAVE A MORRALS ISSUE!
  17. just hopefull that the only thing that BBQ's here is dinner. 102 here now and no real change in sight. Hope every body has a safe and happy 4th.
  18. seam sealer is what i used in mine when i repainted it.
  19. It must be a western thing, 5000 mile is a standard on/off road change interval and 10,000 mile on road. So I understand the 10-15,000 mile interval that Ez rider is speaking of for synthetic oils and clean operating conditions, i will do the same thing with my farm tractors 100 hours during the summmer and 150-200 hours in the winter/early spring
  20. B.C. I like the idea of scooping them off the trees, as I'm going to pull that block any ways! that would be a great start on reducing the biomass!!!
  21. Well the cherry story gets worse! come to find out the warehouse fire in wenatchee also had 14 tons of my export quality cherrys stored inside.....now waiting to hear what the insurance is going to do and how they will determine quality and quanity, as the trucks are not weighed, the picked fruit is weighed on the packing line. then on the way back from Omak i saw this thunder head brewing up....then realized it was a fire blowing up! later found out it was in Canada,or at least started there!
