  1. Looks like Florida...reminds me of a "Rubber Railway" truck.
  2. I get it on Hulu or Netflix, I forget which.
  3. Sure would...do you have anything for late '50s/early '60s trucks?
  4. Is that a "Big Job"? The cab and fenders look like a pickup on steroids.
  5. Fine looking trucks! I'll bet they put a lot of time into cleaning them.
  6. I sure do like that gray color...the truck looks like it's coming along nicely.
  7. The fenders were pretty beat, so my body guy built new ones. He painted the interior, getting ready to paint the exterior. As the cab is coming up, my checking account balance is going down!
  8. I haven't seen it lately, I enjoyed watching it a while back. Did he lose his Western Star rotator? I heard he ran into some money trouble on it.
  9. You're right about the shim plate, but in one of the suspension pics it looks like the frame has been plated and there are dimples around the rivets like rust spreading.
  10. The Ringling circus train used to roll by my office window...it was pretty impressive. They would unload the elephants a few miles from the big top and walk them on the streets to the site...families and kids would line up along the route and watch. Of course PETA and their ilk ruined all that.

Heck with their schedule, as the great REO Speedwagon says: "Roll with the changes!"
  12. If they really are different, GM should have marked the harder end. I don't know a thing about the 6.2.
  13. I have heard some good things about Power Service, but I don't have any experience with it. $10 isn't very expensive.
  14. The engine looks easy to work on with that long hood. The frame rails look split at the top flange.
  15. Here in Ohio I've talked to guys who have gotten an assembled vehicle title, but I have no idea what it takes to get one. Basically if you build a car or truck from parts, you can then get a title for it.
  16. I can't help you with your search; I hope you find some info. I have an H model that was purchased new by Smith's (I doubt it's the one in this photo, but you never know!). I know exactly what you mean about photos, I wish I had photos of some of the things that my dad was involved in with his trucks. I do have a few but I have memories of lots of stuff that would be nice to see again.
  17. On a 1 ton Ford chassis. I'm always concerned when I see an open carburetor like that. Air cleaner!! https://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/d/mack-coe/6747577058.html
  18. Interesting to see the square grille--most of them have the angled sides.
  19. Pretty nice looking brochure on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-Model-AB-Chain-Drive-Truck-Catalog-No-105/352510561139?hash=item5213444b73:g:73MAAOSwn7Rb5Jce

  20. For $7,0000 you can have a truck that's ready to jump in and drive on the road. Trucks in this condition run in the $2,000 range.
  21. I like the round fendered ones too but the steel fenders look like they're ready to get into the dirt and get some work done.
  22. 120k!! Our roads are grooved enough from 80k, I can't imagine what that would do.
  23. That button must have been the differential lock. I don't think a truck as old as this one would have it (my '59 doesn't). The front drive has a power divider so both axles drive all the time.
  24. $40 seems good for such a nice old piece.
  25. I wish someone could explain to the yuppies that there's no reason to run driving lights when you're in the city with streetlights and lots of traffic. They blind oncoming drivers for no reason.
