  1. Good explanation buddy! My bet is the bolts are loose inside the cover . Your on the money for the repair as well !it also held to have the torque rod on the front diff as well spread the load around!
  2. I Highly doubt all the oil slobber is from just the loose studs Could be wrong However Seen it before! Does the front diff have a bracket as well?
  3. How are your trunnion bushings, U bolts are tight? In my opinion judging by that pic, if you were to lift that diff out the banjo housing will be cracked LH side!
  4. AMEN To That!
  5. Beleive there is an anti wicking harness for this issue you should invest in it!
  6. Yes it’s possible ! Check your air filter as. Well
  7. Yup to bad the sweads didn't stick with just saws and sewing machines something they are good at! But NO they had to get involved in trucks and equipment too!🙄
  8. I like the newer cab CL is my favorite chassis if it had the new Granite cab on it it would have been perfect in my eyes ! CL713 Eteck 460 fuller 18 sp . mack , t200 diffs 44's on camel back PERFECT! easy to service Tuff what more can u ask! 😎
  9. Common with the volvo mack stuff as well get used to it this emission stuff is here to stay and ain't cheap!
  10. swap out the breaker on that circuit if its on a breaker sounds like you were close
  11. Thats good or bad news which ever way yo want to view it! how ever at least ya can work instead of being camped at the dealer. is that pic bottom or top?
  12. If the engine has a small plastic line to the head it can be injector o rings as well! Unlikely but a possiblity!
  13. Staxx You got to be pounding out some serious boost there to be bolting the Charge air tubes together !What are them Numbers ???? And the charge air cooler don't look stock? what is that out of ? your using real hose connections! ??
  14. Nope were not there ! They are! let them do what they need to eliminate things unfortunately there are no magic bullets when chasing this stuff just educated guesses! rule out in order of the cheapest to the most expensive ! They may even have to revisit already plowed ground Hard to say! Water pump easy enough ! You may end up doing all Six cups! Ya just don't know! the symptoms are not really cup symptoms how ever ( coolant push Usually )
  15. Love it when a plan comes together ! I have always wanted to try that however being in the Mack business have never been able to try We are always expected to do it Properly and to sell the right parts to do the job correctly! Even new the clutch slot has lots of room for movement So building it up likley won't hurt anything other than the possibility of creating a hard area on the fork that could eventually break How ever as Teck Said What do You have to loose! However you may still have to do the reaction discs sooner or later! But your up and going and thats the name of the game!😎
  16. If it has a night switch bypass it temporarily.
  17. I put emphasis ! BEFORE EGR Just imagine the possibilities!
  18. AMBAC
  19. If they had been using VGT when the V8 was around BEFORE EGR Just imagine the possibilities !
  20. NICE! Probably not doing an inframe on that puppy! oops
  21. Usually Yes! In my opinion you likely got an injector cup issue how ever usually this is accompanied by a hard starting condition! But not always ! The same can be s said for the EGR thing 16 psi shut down may not be enough to leak coolant but 35 psi back pressure( may )be able to push back into the cooling system! unfortunately its a crap shoot! Remove the forward EGR tube and look right inside for trace amounts of coolant red or orange dots!
  22. James ! Make:Mack Model:R747
  23. YUP Oh ya it can ! only 16 Psi in the rad 30 plus on the other side!
