check the fuse (Short question deserves short answer! ) Give us info please! What have you looked at so far!
  2. Just assumed ! It has to be some communist plot! Lashing out at the capitalist's and there ICONS ! Got To blame someone! maybe even the Korean influence! Has to be politically motivated Kev the comment was intended as a joke ! However I am in agreement with this comment if hackers would only put half the effort into finding a job that they do into making other peoples life hard, i bet they would find it is much easier being honest!!! GET A REAL JOB!
  3. Yup Barry Done Good ! Only two days ! could have been a lot worse! Dam Russians !
  4. Must have hired someone to hack the site then , it seems there is intruder on the browser
  5. Yup its to bad they don't build em like the CL any more they probably Fired the the engineers who designed it, for making it TOO EASY to work on! THE ERA of the STAND UP OIL CHANGE went away when the CL -CH and the E7/ first ETeck were done! Real sad to see!If I was ever to be looking for a truck to buy it would be a CL OR ch with an ETECK or E7 18 sp fuller in it of this era Fricking awesome!! The ultimate!
  6. Just A word Here , good job getting it going again, however be prepared for buying a new top gearset soon as that bearing holds the pinion in alignment when the nut comes loose it usually takes out the top gear set as well That nut also requires at the least 1200 ft pounds torque to be properly tightened HOPE YOU USED LOCK TIGHT or staked it or you'll be ater again in a short while! Just a word to the wise!
  7. If Your going to up root them pumps Buy NEW bOLTS, ( usually ) the code has nothing to do with a worn or mechanical failure ie: flat or worn roller broken spring! ! also try and get it as clean as you can behind the pumps before you pull em!
  8. I quite like the top mounted fuel inlet ,outlet design of old! The current side inlet /outlet set up is environmentally unsafe in my opinion too vulnerable to the elements especially in off road situations ! In the event a line gets compromised or broken off half the tank of fuel can disappear on to the ground! the extra 2 % fuel storage can't be worth the effort in my mind! And I realize were talking an over the road unit in this instance ! Not so much an issue here! How ever If It ain't broke Dont fix it!
  9. If it is surging at idle as well the you likely have internal issues in the pump how ever do check the lever.just in case.
  10. I know you have said the return spring on the pump is intact however is the throttle lever worn at he cantilever springs near the throttle shaft if these have worn notches in the actuator the engine will surge on light pedal! Just something to look for!
  11. If you find it’s not the switch verify by putting 12v to the wire pass thru on each head
  12. Rare to see a spring break however we had a unit loose exactly 10 PSI once because the front cam bushing worked its way back and got pulled out by the counterweight of the crank ! check the pan see if there is a bearing laying in the bottom! rare but it did happen ! THE FIX you ask ? Lock tight and Install a new bushing! Didn't hurt anything else in our case!
  13. Check your turbo! and fix the leaks first
  14. any engine codes ?Charge air checked? Ambiant air temp sensor reading correct? Also if you put an MP8 boost sensor in It may help!we accidentally put one in a few years back it made the bloody thing into an animal However if its still under warranty be carefull! And last week we found one with a crack in the venturi tube on the front of the engine on the back side not visible at first we were also looking for 5 psi or so missing boost we found it there NO CODES! just some suggestions!
  15. Ya would be nice however we got people that write service orders like that an it does nothing but piss me off. i don’t read minds I am however sometimes capable of reading what an engine is trying to say when it’s not feeling good if you give me proper info?
  16. Any fault codes ? You need to provide detailed info if you want a decent answer to your questions! Air pressure to fuel system don't tell us much! history ? When it started! ? bla bla Bla!
  17. You can by a lot of brake shoes with the money your going to spend on patching this And it will be a patch these dint work that well even with all the line bearing and other patch kits! Just sayin!
  18. One would think If it were rings you would have oil consumption issues and excessive blowby! I as the others suspect valve guide wear!
  19. agree with Glenn also ( how old is your air cleaner?) Don't forget the engine is in vacum when coasting pulling oil thru the turbo seals due to clogged air filter is a good possibility!
  20. Have you changed any headlight bulbs lately? The wrong bulb will make these do weird stuff!
  21. Next time you have it running pull the oil fill cap off while running and check for puffing at the fill tube this is an indication of failed piston or rings! however if it sounds like its huffin at the exhaust not a good sign!
  22. If it was a runaway it will show up on the valve set as a real loose set as will broken lifter 1/32 of an inch or so you will likely have bent push rods on those cylinders! Upon setting the valves when slack give them a twirl if there bent it will show ! like I said proceed in order of ease! Methodically look at stuff , assume nothing ,Explore .You still could have burnt pistons broken rings you just don't know you have no history! Just an observation from previous experience!
