Miss Molly the border collie

You all may of picked up I have been lucky enough to have a border collie dog share my life and tolerate me for well over a decade

I did wonder when she was young if border collies ever slept

Well apparently border collies do eventually sleep

Poor old Miss Molly the border collie is gone

After loosing the use of her right back leg 5 or 6 weeks ago for no apparent reason, the poor darling had something wrong inside and she went down hill pretty quick

Anyway I can't be cruel and made the decision have my darling put down 

What a good little doggolog she has been

I am truly sorry Paul.  I know it was tough.  My boys stay around me every time im in the shop. Unconditional love. Thats why a Dog is God spelled backwards.

So sorry to hear that. It is tough. I can't go through it with dry eyes. Buried one and the dog I have now isn't long for this world. The love they give their whole life doesn't make it easier but does blunt the pain long term, I have the good memories of all animals that have passed through my life..

RIP Molly! Paul you need to greave For a Bit But you need to get your self another side kick! Don't wait to long! You'll be looking over your shoulder every two  min anyway And it may as well be worth the while! We got us a bluhealer jack russell cross Which I was totally against getting at the time But after 2 years wouldn't be with out! Don't wait to long! Criters bring  can person joy where there is none! The only thing I hate about it is having to leave him behind some times the guilt is horrible!😪

Ya my little guys follow me around .. and lay down where I’m working and both get long faces if i have to leave… I was going to say the same thing… run out and get another puppy… but of course it’s not going to replace miss molly

I never heard this one before, this is excellent. I have heard the saying "We do not deserve our dogs."

Paul, I am so sorry for your loss. I am typing this as Fozzy is laying his head across my feet under the table. Seek comfort in knowing you did right by him all these years up to the end.

I'm reaching a point in my life, that when Rory dies, I'm not sure I have another 15-16 years I can provide to a young dog. The only thing worse than my dog's passing would be for me to pass before him. I can't imagine how to make sure he would be cared for.

My 2 dogs were over 1 year old when I got them. I think this time I would look for an older dog that needs a good home, and can be cared for in its older years.

Only "puppy" I had was when I was growing up. While it is nice to be there from the beginning, there is plenty of love coming into their lives later also.

I know the feeling, me and Roman both have separation anxiety. When I have to leave and can't take him, like when I go to the doctor or something, he sits in the window and watches, from the time I leave until I get home.

sorry for Your loss. I found my best companion ; a 8 week old shepherd husky at a shelter  number of yrs ago. he stayed by my side for 16 yrs . as with many 2/or 4 legged ; time takes it's toll. a decision to have him putdown to end his suffering were difficult. at 74 I can not enter thoughts of a new shelter puppy; my knees can't walk it. don't want the misery of putting down a senior dog. in a weird way the contract for this rent states  "no animals/pets", possibly a good thing. thoughts of a cat are there .  to have witnessed today how Otherdog and His Wife have 3 beautiful puppies so loyal and calm  were a great gladness to me.
