Nice unit for sure. Is that a Camelback suspension? It has the tree like a camelback but no arch to the springs and has shock absorbers. Is that a Mack suspension or vendor?

That's Mack taper leaf . Some refer to it as " underslung "  that's a beautiful R model

Im am surprised at the money, but not really as good R models have become thin on the ground very quickly

St Louis Macks page 5.  Couldn't figure out how to link it to this topic.  I've seen it for sale in the past as well in the red white and blue colors.

I was trying to figure out what was on the lower corner of the dash. After zooming in , it looks like a way to check the oil .  Ive never seen that before.

I can only remember seeing one new mack come through with the in cab  oil check set up. don't recall any with the fuel heater switch ;;last switch to left of 5th wheel .

ive never seen one except on our volvos that we had a few years ago.....fedex got rid of most of them when they figured out they were all junk..lol.went back to kenworth and petes....but the newer kenworths arent much better...bob

the peterbilts seem to be a little more reliable.atleast the 3 i was assigned to...ya i know im getting off the subject....bob

I had an 88 r with the level 3 interior. That was a very quiet truck. Heat and ac worked better too. Even the inner doors were lined with a sound deadener.

Jot that VIN down and ask your local Mack dealer for some gauges and components for the In Cab Oil Level Checker....

From what remember hearing in town and seeing pics a guy had.it was a nice restoration job.lots of new parts bought from Chicago mack when it was Chicago mack not m & k

Well my dream car is a 64 galaxy I don’t think I’ll ever have one but they are just a boat as expensive I remember when I was a teenage kid you could buy them all day long for $100 and besides this town is getting so crowded and so many stupid drivers I would feel better driving around in a restored big rig .. Good point but then you watch these guys pulling trailers up the hills and they’re blowing my doors off even if I am light…. Like wow man what the hell of you got in that thing?????? Bob
