There was plenty of third part push back when I bought my truck, we will see who gets the last laugh. My project will need much work as well but that is part of the fun. One thing that I did when I got mine is bought a decent set of wrenches (7/16 to 1-1/2) and a 1/2" drive socket set... have used them every day one way or another!

Welcome to the group! Enjoy you B. I reminded my wife when I bought my first AC that would you rather have me out in the shop tinkering with the truck or out drinking beer, chasing wimmin and shooting pool. The old truck won and not a peep since. Paul

Hello everyone, I am a newbie and I have been addicted to Mack truck most of my life and until a few months ago, I have not had one to call my own. A few months back I purchased a b42 model out west, that I have not seen except for a few pictures. I was told today that it will be loaded the end of this week and start its journey to northern MI. I am not one to get excited but i will be happy to have it in my barn. Maybe i will sleep for a night. Although I love the diesels, this Mack has caught my attention for some reason. My friends and some family members thinks it stupid but I love these old trucks. I see there are some of you like me and think thats great. I just wanted to thank all of you for you posts, it his so interesting to read about your adventurers And to know I am not the only one. I am sure that this old B needs a lot of work and I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet but will post information as soon as it arrives. Thanks again everyone, any info for this guppie will be appreciated.

wow looks good,,,welcome aboard,,and have a ball....bob
