love all those B81. makes you sad to think that a few years ago Tidewater Mack use to sell bumpers, hoods and complete fender sets for those puppies. the good old days

When I was a kid my dad had a model A pickup. Bought for $40 sold many years later for $40. At one time you could buy almost everything needed to build one from the Sears catalogue. 3 wrenches needed for almost all repairs 1/2" 9/16" and Ford wrench.

Come to think of it,, it has been recently I have noticed thier products here … but not milk,,,, cottage cheese and some other stuff

Correct.  Hood I think is the last of the big New England dairy producers.  As I said West Lynn sold out to Garelick and Garelick was purchased by Dean Foods. Cumberland Farms is still going strong with C-stores but sold their milk production facilities in Mass, NY and NJ.  Garelick produces the CF branded producks.

Back to Hood they built a big production facility in Winchester for what are termed  long shelf life products such as Lactaid milk which is lactose free.

Hood branded products are still key here in Northeast but you are likely to see Lactaid  out your way as well as Almond Breeze, Planet Oat , and Heluva Good cheese products.  And good news is it is once more a privately held company vs part of some conglomerate.

years back Dean Foods came east and did a 10 yr lease on Baskin Robbins. rumor had it that was their way of getting quick  ICC rights in new england so they could sell their own products,
