  1. How can you buy a vehicle at fleet pricing if you're only buying one? Another example is I paid $4500 cash for my 1 ton, I definitely need the towing capacity and the money I saved (compared to buying new) buys gas and parts beyond the life of the vehicle when compared to the $50k-$70k range for a new one ton. Hell I can buy q brand new engine for around $4k for the truck and then it should be good for at least another 200k.
  2. Are you saying that you have long winters and time consuming hobbies are needed to fill them? 😁
  3. Got an acquaintance to take a few pics for me.
  4. Reminds me of the old flush chains with a handle like that on old navy ships.
  5. I saw that camper in Montana a few years ago. What's it running ?
  6. Looks like it like be set up and used for drag racing with all that wheel base Paul.
  7. Good for you if that's what you need. I'm an hour or more in any direction from a town of any size. So when I go shopping to pick feed, lumber, wood pellets, etc it doesn't make sense for me to make multiple trips like you do. I also paid cash for my pickup but like usual you assume things about people on here so you can make snide comments.if you weren't so snotty to deal with we could have a conversation on here where I do agree with part of your earlier post. Lots of people who never use a truck drive one. I guess it's their right on how they spend their money so what do I care?
  8. I need the capacity. A ranger won't pull my tractor on my gooseneck trailer, or my horses, or my log loading trailer or haul hay or wood like my one ton will. If you had a good Diesel they get about the same mileage as a Ford ranger with a v6 by the way.
  9. Me too that's why I drive a 97 one ton with a 460. Simple, inexpensive truck with out all the nanny devices. Every time someone gives me a hard time about driving such an old truck with 187k on the clock I tell them I can buy a lot of parts and gas for the payment and full coverage insurance they have to pay. I usually walk away chuckling as I see the reality of my statement sink in with them.
  10. My absolute favorite trucks. I've always wanted to put a hot 12v Cummins in one.
  11. Nice pics vlad, it's also good to hear from you. I really like the look of that Ural 6x6.
  12. Way to go bob.
  13. Yet again I ask you to take notice of who is always calling everyone on here names that disagree with her. Yes life is short but in my world there is still right and wrong. Trying to literally erase history because you don't like part of it is bs. Calling our vets bigots, traitors, old bible clinging clinkers is a bunch of bs. With her there is no discussion, its dictatorship like. If you don't agree with me, here comes the name calling every single time. I've had many conversations with you KS, sometimes we agree sometimes we don't but neither of us ever make snide inflammatory comments about each other. That can't be said for her. Notice she has a problem with every single member on here? Maybe life is too short but when there's a fly in the honey pot it's best dig it out.
  14. Really?! Remember it was global cooling in the 70's and 80's but soon as the people were realizing we weren't freezing to death then it was global warming and your hero gore won a Pulitzer for spewing complete bs (remember according to him and all his koolaid drinkers the polar ice caps would be gone by 2015) and now that we're on to that bs it's been changed yet again to "climate change" sono matter what the weather does the lefties can blame everything on industry pollution and claim they're right. You always claim you believe in science so how has the world gone through multiple ice ages? Yeah you're right we should just ignore that little fact since it doesn't align with your argument. The fact is history has proven the climate is cyclical me always changing even before we were here.
  15. Typical out of touch liberal. It's ok for them to incite violence and destruction to get their way yet they are always the first to cry foul. Notice how much they're whining and literally throwing adult tantrums because they lost the election? Remember obummer not prosecuting the head of the IRS for targeting conservative groups? Or Hillary and obummer flat out lying about a terrorist attack and letting four Americans die right before an election to make sure they could win it? The left has done lots of heinous things to stay elected in my short lifetime and these are the people she admires.
  16. The sneak on the vc leader was one of he best parts. I saw an interview with Carlos and he said it took 3 days to sneak into position. He said he didn't move until the breeze blew so the grass was moving all around him concealing his moves. He also said he crawled on his side to leave less of a "path" behind him. He also stated that he didn't think he'd live through that mission. He figured once he took out the leader he'd be killed but by some stroke of luck the guards thought the shot came From behind them so they shot up a hillside while he made a stealthy, hasty exit.
  17. That's for sure. The only way we could beat china is quit exporting soy beans to them and starve them out.
  18. I've always had a problem with any type of news medium pulling that "sources say" nonsense. Either name them or its BS and don't spew it on the " news".
  19. You being able to run your mouth like the deranged out of touch cuckoo that you are. Grow some balls and go to one of those countries and run your mouth about the government and see how that turns out for you. It's sickening how you have no appreciation for our vets except for the rare times they support a poorly thought out argument by you.
  20. Carlos was a bad ass. Read his book White Feather more than once. Now I preface this next sentence with I highly respect anyone in the armed forces and this is not to take anything away from Chris Kyle. To me there is is no comparison between the two. Yes Kyle has more kills than hathcock, but hathcock did it by himself behind enemy lines with far less advanced gear. Many parts of his book give me the chills just thinking about the balls, bravery and composure it took to hunt down an enemy on their turf with so much cover for them to hide in. I'd be scared to death every step of the way if it we me trudging forward in unknown country looking for snipers, troops, booby traps and whatever else you might find there. Again thank you Paul and all our vets for what you do. On a side note Ed Kuegler has a very good biography about going through one of the earliest sniper training classes I'd guess you'd call it in Vietnam when they were first floating the idea about bringing snipers back for the first time since WWII.
  21. Anything that doesn't support your argument is "bogus" according to you. That's one of the many reasons why I have no respect for you.
  22. You're right David, and even with all of our flaws we're still the best place to be. I don't see possibly billions immigrate to any other country like here (talking about the entirety of our country's history).
  23. https://www.google.com/amp/s/harrisburg100.blog/2017/06/13/antifa-to-burn-flag-and-desecrate-graves-in-gettysburg/amp/ as usual you open your yap and defend any leftist group like a robot even before you take the 10 seconds it took me to google the story.
  24. Was that an early version of a heavy hauler to pull mega loads?
