  1. From what I can see of the shift patterns on the dash I'd guess a five and a four but that's just a guess.
  2. Welcome, you'll meet lots of nice people with a wealth of knowledge on here. Nothing wrong with running old iron as long as it's kept up especially since it kind of sounds like a hobby or pleasure gig.
  3. I'm into bugs, been planning on building a turboed bug.
  4. I'm with you on that one, I can see the reasoning why they have bracket racing but don't like it. Went to one small drag race in eagle Idaho and was sorely disappointed when a stock vw bug running 50-60 mph in the quarter knock out a bitchin' 65 or 66 streetable GTO that was pulling one tire off the ground everytime it launched. The bug in my opinion should've never been on the strip. Kinda of made a mockery of drag racing I thought. That's when I lost any enthusiasm to go see another race.
  5. It's hard to add style to a shapeless blob.
  6. Oh they're showing up in droves now that schools out. That's Flathead lake Bob. Surprised not to see bumper to bumper traffic there this time of year.
  7. I like those colors on that B.
  8. So does Deutz still make ag tractors or have they gone by the wayside as well?
  9. Is that first dodge (dark green one) four wheel drive? Neat pics, thanks for sharing.
  10. I slept through it my wife was awake and said she could feel it. http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN19R0JV
  11. Very interesting. Did you see the documentary "I Killed JFK"? He guy who made the film was interviewed recently and he had some very compelling evidence and a man who confessed to being one of the shooters. I did not know that he Chicago man was pissed at JFK for appointing one of his family members as attorney general who then started looking into the mob after they helped elect JFK because his dad was up there campaigning for him. According to the man who confessed (if memory serves me correctly he worked for the government) people around the world came to watch the assassination. http://www.starlightcinemas.com/movie/249485/I-Killed-JFK/2017-05-31
  12. I think they also have to consider the fuel mileage argument might not be true for the day cab drivers who are home every night that arent putting on tons of miles everyday like over the road guys. Before we got the tattletales (ELD's and cameras) we used to drive 65mph. Now on a 3 hour run each way I can only do 60mph which costs me a half hour along with that stupid mandatory 30 min break which is a joke, I lose an hour out of my work day. So if everything doesn't work perfectly everyday I lose a load. The company takes a hit because less loads are hauled and I take a hit as well. I also think that being able to do the same speed limit as cars would help tremendously because you wouldn't be forcing every vehicle to pass you.
  13. The last CEO was a moron. Wouldn't let cat dealerships and parts stores that carried cat parts carry any inventory. He thought it would save money. all it did was piss off his customer base when it took literally weeks to get a simple every day CAT part. That costs people a lot of down time. The new CEO has changed this and realizes parts being readily available not order by mail are very important to CAT owners who don't want to wait 3 weeks for roller for a bulldozer.
  14. I think I remember this coming up in a thread on here somewhere and if my poor memory serves me correctly the answer is yes they did use Mack engines in marine applications. Second to last post touches on the subject, https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/14095-has-anyone-used-this-vendor/#comment-56222
  15. You did an excellent job on that truck.
  16. I remember hearing the truck drivers that were hauling from dads job at beaver creek complaining about all the deer they were hitting. Beautiful area for sure.
  17. What's wrong with that? 😁 Happy fourth
  18. she is wearing the proper 4 of July attire. Katy Sunshine makes a dang good living with a hula hoop.
  19. Thank a vet for our great country.
  20. As far as fleet trucks go I actually kind of like this one. Saw one in white the other day and with its squared off shape it looks kind of tough...at least for a fleet truck.
  21. I'm with you. Run it til the wheels fall off, replace them and run it some more. I can replace the entire drive train in my pickup for much much less than a new truck payment plus the full coverage insurance payment. There's many ways to get to the same goal and I choose to run old stuff and fix it.
  22. Yep I hear ya that's why I didn't say I'll take it.
  23. Sorry to hear you're in a pinch and have to sell your truck. If I was closer I'd take it.
  24. The compact tractor craze is everywhere. I understand why, they're small, versatile and you can do many jobs with many implements with one. I just upgraded from my Ferguson TO20 to a 1070 JD with low hours and the JD was far less money than the smaller 18-28 hp tractors.
  25. Cool, I had no idea you could own just one vehicle and get fleet pricing. My assumption obviously was your business had to have x amount of vehicles to qualify.
