  1. Glad to see she found her way home. Looks like she's been well kept while she was away.
  2. Yeah I was up there too. Those YouTube videos do no justice it's 1000 times better to experience it in person. Plus I'm puzzled about that 187,000 lb thing they were telling everyone that was the weight with 2 trailers then at the end on Sunday they hooked a third trailer load of lumber to a few of them and told everyone the gross was 170,000lbs even if they got their metric conversion messed up it don't add up. I figure 170,000 lbs is probably close for the three trailers I don't know where they came up with the 187,000 lbs. because the two trailers just have a normal load of lumber and that would legal 140,000lbs or less so hooking another lead on a set of trains would put you close to 170,000lbs. A bunch of my friends and myself started going about 8 years ago and usually go every year, and it's not as good as it was when we started going but it's a good time I recommend everyone should go at least once.
  3. I'm a die hard Lucas Man , but have used the Howes products before, and they work well. Either way you don't want to use too much or too little of either product, and with the fuel we have today running some kind of additive to replace the sulphur for lubricity and increasing the cetaine rating is a must.
  4. If you have an old dipstick and tube, you can take it out and measure the length of what hangs inside the pan and just make a longer dipstick and tube. That's what I had to do on mine. I couldn't find one.
  5. It's definitely went from a bias ply tire to a radial. Nice photo. Thanks for sharing it.
  6. Hey you were just a short trip over the border from where I'm at. The Historic Uniroyal tire along I 94 is a Motor City landmark. The story is that it was originally a ferries wheel for some kind of expo many years ago and was moved there and covered in an became the historic tire.
  7. A little elbow grease goes along way. Looks great. Keep the pics coming.
  8. I believe they refer to that particular E9 as the ENDT1000 if that's the prototype. Very cool nostalgic piece of Mack History you have there. What's your price?
  9. Scottwetzel that's a very nice Superliner you have. Hood guards look great on it.
  10. Two great pulls! Thanks for sharing.
  11. The BBQ paint should be good I've painted charge air coolers and rads with it before and it's worked ok.
  12. Always keep the linkage well greased on an MH it will make shifting easier. Plus you want to take care of that part of it because the shifter linkage parts are getting harder to find for them.
  13. Wow a one stack Mack with a window in the back! Very nice!
  14. Too Cool ! I always wanted to buy a new truck and run it my whole career, but I guess I came into the world a few years too late. They don't make trucks like that to last a lifetime anymore. You have a very sharp looking Superdog looks like you take very good care of it and the fact you've had it since new and have kept it up so well and it's still doing it's job for you is definitely something to be proud of. My hats off to you for a job well done, here's to at least another 25 years together for you and your Superdog.
  15. Welcome from the most southern tip of Ontario!
  16. I'm not sure on the cab mounts but the 2 aluminum handles are definitely 70s through 90s vintage Freightliner Cabover lockdown handles.
  17. I think they're the same handle. That's a good idea R Model doors could use an extra handle inside. Iowa 80 and 4 State also carry that same grab handle.
  18. Thanks for the compliments guys. 4 short years ago it started out with a pair of frame rails on horses and lots of time a lots of bucks and 4 donor trucks later here it is. Vlad I put the fenders on I lucked out I was pricing half fenders at Traction Truck Parts and was talking to the store manager and told him I really wanted 4 individual fenders or a set of full fenders but I didn't want to spend the money , and just so happens he had that set of full fenders upstairs that a guy ordered a year before and never paid or picked up and he didn't want them around so he let me have them for $350 they are for the spread but are short on the ends that's why I have the stainless pieces and Mack flaps on them. I have a pretty good sheet metal shop that made all the stainless stuff for me.
