Northwest Truck 1-800-665-9248 ask for Harold he should have all gaskets and o-rings for them. Only things that are totally extinct for them are water pumps , oil pumps, and liners. But if you have a rebuildable core to work with Northwest Truck can rebuild water pumps and oil pumps. And I know a place that can make liners for them too if you ever need. But I don't see why gaskets should be an issue to get even from mack there should be old stock somewhere. Some one at his dealer didn't want to be bothered to look for it! I found that out on the weekend when getting a coolant filter for my E9 . It take the old fat spin on filter same as the older 6 cylinders do and my dealer at home told me they were getting hard to get a year or so ago, so I went 100 miles up the 401 to the mack dealer in London and hunted up an experienced parts guy I deal with there named Bill and told him what I was after and without needing the number he asked how many I wanted and went in the back and brought it out to me. Turns out the old number has been changed. That's what a good parts guy can do for you.

Yeah for sure a production version of that would be a way bigger seller than the Titan is by far!

Superliner II andMH springs and hangers are the same and both will bolt in place under a CL.. RW MH and CL are built on the same frame assembly CL just uses a longer spring and front hanger. If you look close on most CL's the holes are already punched in the frame rails to bolt Superliner and MH front assemblies under them. The stretching of the hood would be more work than changing the front end. So it really wouldn't be that big of a deal to do a forward axle CL conversion. I think finding a good cheap CL with an E9 for an affordable project is probably the toughest part.

Nice find 85 Snowdog! The Chatham International plant closed a few years back and was just demolished this year. Used to be tons of Loadstars around here back in the day .

I have a pump and reservoir for an 866 but iit might be ok for a core if you are stuck for one. Has end play in the shaft don't know why it was taken off . It's a Vickers pump # on the pump is 313D . The last one I changed was in Jan. 05 and it cost me $495.00 then for a remaned pump my parts place got it from a steering shop in Toronto. And I know it was a Vickers pump I put on the part # on the invoice I have is LP17VTM42AF maybe that will help you. If not let me know and I'll have my parts guy call the place and see if we can find out anymore. Too bad You weren't after one about a month ago I pitched a box of Vickers pumps that had busted shafts must have been a downfall to them I think a few of them had better tags on them than this complete assembly I have.

I've been on wind farm jobs where I've had to back up over a mile to get in. Straight roadways and ones like that with a lot of tight curves. I did pull a set of tanker trains for a few summers too no matter if it's a set of doubles or a single trailer I have a lot of days where I can back in places first shot and a lot of days I don't get it first shot. I seem to be better with the pressure of having an audience watching.i don't concider myself to be good by no means just lucky.

Yeah, I changed my clutch cable in mine once. I don't remember the part about working in the end under the dash as being a very nice job.

Just pitched a couple used ones I had laying around a few weeks ago don't know if they would have been any good anyway but I would have given them to you a few weeks back. About all I can suggest is to give Northwest Truck in Edmonton Alberta a call if anyone has a remaned cooler on the shelf they will if not they can re core your cooler for you. They aren't cheap but they stand behind their stuff I've got many 866 parts from them. Their number is 1-800-665-9248 ask for Harold he's one of the owners and knows his stuff on the older stuff.

Superdog, I've only made stuff for my Superliner and just kinda dreamed stuff up as I went. I usually have my sheet metal friend make me up about 4 sets of fender guards just to have on hand. They're patterned off an old bores set I had bout for mine years ago. I had made my rear light panel, recessed deck plate, bracket for light cord plug. I plan on closing the rear of the frame behind the fifth wheel in stainless to match my deck plate.

85snowdog it belongs to the guy from Zephyr Peat up east of Barrie. He's a fellow Great Lakes Truck Club member and HCEA member. He had it up at Clifford in June and said he had 2 and that one was the worse of the 2 . I think he has a lot of stuff I know he has a really sweet F700 with a 866 375HP V8 he pulls the float and brigs a Northwest Model41 dragline up to the HCEA events .

Ch air tank is spoken for it's going along with a couple other things in a trade for a John Deere lawn mower the guys supposed to be bringing it down and getting the parts next weekend, but if he bails I'll let you know.

A bit of advice on storing that crankshaft. Stand it on end if it's not fastened in the block otherwise it will warp laying like that over time and be junk.

I think you might be right bbigrig that would be the right vintage for the Persian gulf war. 85snowdog that would be a good truck for you since it was built not far from you or me either. If my dam lottery numbers would come in I'd be on a plane with cash in one hand and a dealer plate in the other.
