  1. Took the Taiwan mirrors I had on it and replaced them with a nice pair of classic Mack Bulldog ones.
  2. Here's a few pics I took of my Superliner on the weekend I have it safety chechecked and ready for a couple shows this summer.
  3. A guilty conscience will get the bet of you every time. And although sometimes it doesn't seem like it honesty is the best policy. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your dad Other Dog. I know the feeling I lost my dad a year ago today and it's something you take for granted while they're alive but life changes after they're gone.
  4. I tried a little experiment on the new truck today. I went over all the aluminum with Busch Polish and tried their wax sealer on everything to see if it will stay shiny hauling gravel without being married to it. The steers have Dura Brights but the drives are just polished Alcoas. All of the Mack's we've bought in the last couple years have been like that. I don't know why they didn't come with Dura Brights all the way around it would make life easier.
  5. Yup that's where it was at Mayfield and HWY 50. That Superliner was for sale on Kijiji and a few other places, I believe it has a Cat in it, but it is sharp! I put the new Pinnacle to work today. MP8 505HP doesn't pull like my E9 450 but that's like comparing apples to oranges. It does a good job, very driver friendly easy to see out of and turns on job sites well. Taking it back next week to get the clutch adjusted right clutch brake doesn't work , fuel gauge either and it dropped to 100km while I had it set at 105km on the cruise and I couldn't get it to run over 100km one of our other pinnacles did the same thing just a few minor bugs but overall I like the truck.
  6. Hopefully better times ahead. The boss replaced my KW with a brand new Pinnacle. I'm going to put it to work tomorrow .
  7. On my way in to the auction I saw Bobo and his Superliner at work, but didn't have time to get a pic. I saw a nice Superliner pulling a Float but pic isn't good it was raining. And I saw a nice 71 Pete pulling a livestock trailer on my way out of Toronto.
  8. The boss sent me on a road trip up to Toronto yesterday to Richie Bros to put the biggest piece of scrap iron I've ever had the pleasure of driving for the last 3 years. An 09 KW W900L ISX Cummins powered he bought sight in seen off the web from Texas. He and myself wish he had left it there 3 years ago it been a lemon the whole time. We think it was probably in a flood before we got it and he's spent the price of a good used truck every year in it letting everyone try to fix all the electronic problems in it. So we took it to the auction. So hopefully no one we know buys this Lemmon it's a good candidate to send over seas. It was one of the happiest days of my life. To see it gone.
  9. Wow he's 29 for the first time. I've turned 29 for 10 years in a row. Lol! Enjoy you day Happy Birthday!
  10. I plumbed my Superliner with a Schrader Valve. A clip on air chuck and shop air if you want it aired up in the shop without starting it.
  11. Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadian BMT friends! I had to work today but took my holiday yesterday. And Farmer that hot chick must have been playing hockey around where I was today. It was hot out no snow or ice! Lol!
  12. Your double frame looks pretty rust free and straight to start with. That's the worst part of a double frame truck. You have lots to work with and it looks great so far. Thanks for posting the pics and keep em coming with your progress.
  13. Oooooopps!!!!!! How do I explain this to the Boss!
  14. We had an E9 that had that same colour blue under the grey I always thought the blue was painted on by someone at some point in time I've never seen another blue motor. I always thought they were supposed to be a Machine Grey colour. My other 2 are grey.
  15. Judging from the pics it looks to be in decent shape.
  16. I'm not keen on the new logo either. I prefer the old one.
  17. Maybe if the trailer came with it. Wish I would have known yesterday, I was only about an hour away from Gravenhurst yesterday I might have drove a little farther to have a look if I'd known. At that price I think he'll be sitting on that a while.Maybe it'll be there in 6 weeks when we're going up to Quebec.
  18. Don't have to wait till next year the Barrie chapter puts on 2 big events each year. June is a 2 day deal and I believe Oct 18 is the Last Blast they call it. Plus they'll have some of the stuff at the Country Heritage Park in Milton for Steam Era on Labour Day Weekend and they always have a good working display at The Inernational Plowing Match in Sept which is near Barrie this year, but the two weekends they have it at their pit sit at Simcoe County Museum is the best. I wish we still had something from my Grandpa and Dad's Equiptment left to take up there. I'm looking to get something to take up there to play. And Alex I thought about calling you to see if you were going but I figured you'd be there. Your HCEA membership let you in for free. I'll remind you in oct. We have Clifford coming up in a few weeks. I'm not taking my truck up there the club has a broker in Kitchener working on an Insurance package for us he's called me a couple times recently to let me know they're working on it. As long as I get to Sparta with it I'll be happy.
  19. Nice R Model , good load of pipe.
  20. This caught my eye at the Freightliner dealer around the corner from the club grounds on my way home.
