  1. It would be helpful but I don't think it needs to be made mandatory. Jim
  2. Here is a TC-15 case on ebay. Does not looked to be a married unit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-Truck-Transfer-Case-TC-15-Series-Rebuilt-P-N-1KB51365AP1-/221331197880?pt=Other_Vehicle_Parts&hash=item33885e0fb8&vxp=mtr Here is one that is listed as a military unit. Married. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TRANSMISSION-and-TRANSFER-CASE-for-10-Ton-Military-Truck-MACK-Engine-M123-6x6-/380746867580?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item58a648237c&vxp=mtr
  3. Browsing on ebay. No connection. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-NO-prime-mover-dataplates-N-O-S-/131063946202?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e84051bda
  4. What was the question? Ohhhh.....never mind.
  5. You can get to the brake valve under the floor after removing the nuts (inner circle) and the the nuts and bolts (outer circle). This will get the pedal and base out of the way. The valve itself won't move too much because the copper air lines going to the valve will support it. Before doing anything does the brake pedal move the plunger (beneath the pedal roller)? If not than more than likely the valve is seized. With patience, the plunger may come out and the whole assembly can be inspected. If you are not familiar with air brakes, it will be best to get someone who does look at it in person to see what is really going on. Information through the forum will be good but brakes are not a subject for making ANY mistakes.
  6. Hey Paul, I think you said you were moving sometime to VA or NC? That time is getting closer!
  7. I got both of you beat. No money AND no space. Sure looks like fun ride! Sorry to hear it needs to go down the road.
  8. I don't know if they were ever married. I looked in one of my Mack books and it gave some numbers. Maybe with some scrubbing, something will show on the casting and help narrow the search.
  9. TC 15 and TC 151 are a direct drive transfer case. TC 150 and TC 1510 are an overdrive transfer case.
  10. An RW713 tandem with six banger was based price of $76,000 in 1986. Don't have info for last year of production.
  11. I recall reading a story about that KW set up and the off duty driver could either sleep in the bunk or sit on the edge of the bunk right behind the driver. Talk about being a back seat driver.
  12. This brochure is on ebay and gives a little idea of three plants. Not super clear but it might help. Date 1948. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1948-Mack-C41-C45-Transit-Bus-Ad-Factory-Plant-wj3018-K9AONX-/350733827894?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51a95d7f36
  13. Thinking that is a Model 75 fire truck which must have done promotional work for a radio station with the call letters and ads. Civilian equivalent would be a model EH.
  14. A family in town "needed" a pool and a basketball court. Dynamite was the only construction tool that would get the job done. It is not called The Granite State for nothing.
  15. Mack X107A 6 speed is 14.43. Should give similar results.
  16. Fantastic! You have some nice outback scenery for your pics.
  17. The number is stamped in the gear housing. No tag to fall off. 4.17 shown. Might have to take a scotch brite pad to clean it up.
  18. New ones look great, but I'll stand in line for the old R model! Might have to take a vacation to PR to do some Mack reconnaissance.
  19. Maybe forgot to baste the bird?
