  1. Just a quick question, hypothetically, not that anyone here would know about such things, where might I find some service manual downloads at for trucks made around 2000? I have looked all over the damned place and cannot seem to find them anywhere.
  2. Hi, I was told, and have found only a little about the recall on the 2000 and/or 2001 CX-613. The recalls are for a light switch, and for the Flashers in the fuse box. The reason it came up was that we nearly melted a plastic one from Mack to the pannel, and the metal one got hot enough to fry my fingers in about 3 seconds or so with the engine running. This seems to be a real problem. So, does anyone know of any other major electrical issues with this truck, or can you give us any more info on the flasher issue?
  3. Details details. Yeah, I was still half asleep when I posted this this morning. Not doing much better now. (By the way, everyone knows that the fastest color is RED, that's what makes all the sports cars go so fast!) The red truck is a Vision 470 (2000) Problems: Sometimes the marker lights work... Sometimes not... ***NEW Front drive axle sways up to 4 inches when you turn, Purely side to side, no front to back. The White Truck is a cx-613 (2000) Problems: I just redid the tail wiring. Yup. Some of the light connectors were recycled from the old harness and don't seem to want to work, and some of the old lights are bad, so I am testing with my light to see what goes where. I am making progress. Putting flames on the hood seems to help, but the preformance boost may be why the exhaust ate through the hose connecting the pipes to the stack. Going back to white. The Yellow Truck is hard to make out but seems to say model rd688s (1999) Problems: Well, for one, I hate yellow, but havent gotten the boss to shell out for paint yet. Maybe Black, Blue, or something like the hammered metal finishes I have seen. We have an extra just like it. I want to cover one in that spray-on bed liner stuff. Scratch THAT paint job! LOL. Also, the lights work fine untill you turn the truck on. Then it looses the driver side running lights. I have no clue why? Could it possibly be a relay? Not sure. Any help appreciated.
  4. This is getting ridiculous. 1) We have a red mack truck that has NO running lights. There is no power to the breaker and the relay seems to be fine. 2) We have a yellow mack truck that all the lights work on... untill you turn it on. Then the driver side rear running lights go out. 3) We have a white mack truck that all of a sudden the metal hose between the exhaust pipes and stack is burned through??? How? So, do ALL mack trucks have these issues? Is poor wiring a common issue, or have we just gotten some bad apples?
  5. Ummm.... Got them for a 2003 toyota tacoma? I bet I could blind people in full daylight.
  6. I just bought some 16-4-6 from Northern Tools, and it is actually labeled as far as what it does. I got 25 feet for 25 dollars! I also bought a bunch of light connecters for about 2.50 each. Not a bad deal all in all. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for this truck? That would be awesome as I fully expect more problems in the future.
  7. Thanks a LOT, that helps immensely. I have had nothing but hell with the lights on this truck from day one. They have gone out at least 8 times. Shorts, blown fuses, connectors coming undone, etc...
  8. Hello all, I have a huge problem. I need to make a Mack dump truck we have quit messing up its rear electrical wiring, and completely redo most of the rear wiring harness. Sound like fun? It gets better. The wiring harness is completely FUBAR. Wiring has been repeatedly messed with, cut repaired, spliced, and patched. Of the 4 wires going to the rear, I have 3 that return signal, and one that does nothing. I have: 1) Brake Lights 2) Turn Signals 3) No Running Lights 4) Intermittent Marker Lights 5) a seperate wire run from the battery box to the transmission to the beeper, and the reverse lights. Sometimes (About 1 in 3) it actually works. This is an epic cluster f**k and ANY help would be appreciated. This is for a 2000 Mack dump truck with an automatic transmission. Model number is cx613. HELP!
