  1. the 2090's and 2010's were famous for twisting the mainshaft when abused. A good 2090 with an updated syncro is not a bad transmission for what you are trying to do.
  2. Ouch! Hendrickson walking beam and meritor rears? Yuk
  3. Definatly from Millburn NJ.
  4. Thanks for the reply but I think thats just a little too far away!
  5. If you could get the computer stuff worked out it would be a cool swap.
  6. You are correct about the rd800 and the centered vent. Being from NJ when someone says 800 I automatically think dm800. The hood sides are very deep on a rd800 hood tho.
  7. That is the factory radio location without a overhead console.
  8. Once the nose is off th truck and the radiator support rods are taken off there are only four cab mount bolts holding the cab on to the frame. There are no new B model panels available. You will have to find good used or repair what you have.
  9. Anyone happen to see the mirror frames on that truck? It appears to have frames that are mounted to the cab and not the doors. I have never seen anything like that on a Mack before.
  10. What port were these at? If they were taken in NY/NJ I cant beleve they trucked all those trucks up here from Texas just to be shipped to South America. Its a shame they are leaving this country but I agree with others that they will be OK in Argentina.
  11. If it has the Mack 310m ten speed trans it is a good dump truck trans.
  12. Glad to see you saved it Tom. Post pics when you get it. Chris
  13. Thanks for the information Rob. I will look into Ashland Chem.
  14. Thanks for the very informative reply. I did not know the difference between the resins, and now I see how you laid up the large repairs without abrading the surface for adhesion between layers. Where do you buy your fiberglass mat and cloth? The autobody supply jobbers around me have very limited availability on fiberglass supplies. Just curious if you mail order or procure locally? Thanks Chris
  15. That style set up with the diesel fuel pre heater was common on cummins engines. It had a large glow plug and a hand pump pressurised oil burner nozzle in the intake. The hand primer could probably be sourced from one of these cummins powered units since they were much more common than lanovas.
  16. Get a vin off a truck with factory duals and then they should be able to look it up. Or you could find a competent parts man at another dealer.
  17. The shifter tower is wore out. I just ran into this same problem on an rt-910 that when shifted into 4th gear would put trans in gear but wouldnt stop and would hit the dash. The shifter would float until you went back into fourth gear. I thought it was in the top cover until I pulled out the shifter. The shifter ball in the top of the shifter tower had worn and the spring had forced the shifter upwards compensating for wear and had thus let the shifter raise its self. (truck has well over a million miles) It was high enough to fall out of the shifter rails when in certain positions, like fourth gear.
