  1. Good to see you finally found the way to post images on here. Another thing I have difficulties identifying the content of this particular one. For sure everything I see on it was newer installed on a NR model from the factory Talking about the forum I spent many years participating on here and can state when you're familiar with ways to post and navigate no sufficiat issues accure to share and get info on BMT. Looking forward to see more of the trucks you have. And I'm currently not on a daily basis on here either. Like many other long time members as I can see.
  2. The case was the forwarding company which helps me with parts shipped to Russia was up close to the gearbox location. Just 10-15 miles away. I will keep in my mind such offer was attractive. In my particular case there was not a really hard need since the truck is a hooby one. Otherwise I'd hang up the phone immediately Hope someone who needed the tranny purchased that one.
  3. Interesting. Is that yourth? Or just close?
  4. Sad to hear when such things happen.
  5. Many members on here had troubles uploading pics during recent years. That concerned even me. Good thing the thing I had to do was deleting or resizing some of my old attachments to manage my upload capacity. The latter was found limited after 6 or so years of posting pics. But many others got issues of different kinds. And it seemed to me many long time members cancellled their participation on BMT because of that.
  6. What?? Bridge??? Oh, hell!! It's still under construcrtion...
  7. Ok, found one more thread showing out my truck. https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/31013-i-got-the-chassis-rolling/
  8. You will probably not seen any notifications excepting cases when someone quotes your thred (as I do now) or likes it. From what you type of VIN numbers all the truck were produced in 1945. There were some later series of NR's either which were ordered during the war years but completed after its end when the militaries didn't need them anymore/ Those were named NR-18, NR-19 and NR-20. All those were directed to Western Europe to support destroyed economy. 150 trucks went to Belgium, 150 to Netherlands and 300 trucks (NR-20) - to France. The VINs were larger numbers than yours, starting from 16000 or so and further. My donor truck was from the French bunch and had its VIN of something 17000. As far as I know all NR VINs started with NR4D and had "D" in the end since it was a standard thing for Mack when it was Diesel. Of my truck you now can see a couple of really poor views of the original object (the one which was supplied under Lend-Lease to Russia? jr better to say/ what was survived) and the donor truck which was imported from The Netherlands and had its younger days serving in French army. Of what I have done to the moment is a mostly complete chassis with fuel tanks and all new piping. I also have a good progress with the engine and gearbox. But both aren't finished completely. The cab is on the list and the cargo body is drown detailingly and waits $$$ to be ordered as a set of wooden parts. The most interesting part of the story was posted here: https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/29254-frame-is-ready/
  9. Aren't you going to drive over Alaska and Russia? I like the front wheels. Don't remember any truck at Mackdag riding on such ones.
  10. More to come, old Macks are always welcome
  11. Wow! Looks really fresh and solid. Congratulations! Which side of Athlantic is it currently on?
  12. Looks like it was a school bus in its younger ages.
  13. Uups.. All is good with this one. Only the coast is wrong
  14. This one showed up once on here 6 or 7 years back. If the memory serves the guy's nick name was Heavy Metal or so. He had a 1 mile long railroad track over his property with a loc and cars. Can't be 100% sure but from the pic it looks as the same vehicle.
  15. A nice project but unfinished. It was shown up on here a couple of times during last years. I remember we discussed it Looks like a long story to sell as it usual for projects. Thank you for taking time posting all these links on here. Some offers look attractive.
  16. Great to hear from you! No, the trucks are 1943-45 regarding to dual rear tyres. All earlier series rode on "super-singles" at the rear, 14.00-20 size. One of the trucks had a VIN plate on the dash as I could see from ebay pics. It was about 100 trucks away from my NR. I got info from Mack museum of the truck leaved assembly line on January 15 1945. So about that time your truck did the same. Loading pics became trouble to many members on here during a couple last years. Some issue with the site software. Try looking "Site related topics" at the bottom of the home page. There were multiple requests to solve such a problem. If you find nothing to help there try contacting Barry. He provides the site work, you'll be able to find his account in that "Site related" either. If you find yourself in trouble tinkering with your Macks or have a question about them feel free to PM me. To the mement I spent 8 years restoring my one and rest just a few bolts and nuts untouched in it. Vlad
  17. I well remember pics of that LT posted in the gallery on here. Sorry not ready to say the screen name of the person. Too probably I didn't change the file names when saved them on my hard disk. So using them some search over the site could be provided.
  18. As long as I can see this is a panel installed atop of the speedo-tacho cluster. Looks like a new part..Not for free but might be actual to someone. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-Truck-8MT520-Gage-Panel/142928425361?hash=item214732b191:g:AlgAAOSwEVpbkCIO
