  7. You will not afford. Those cab back panels have worth of gold nowadays. Going to be a great looking truck!

  9. Prob the same ones. You can always check with a magnet. 304SS doesn't catch at all and 430 makes some tendency to glue up but way less than regular (chrome plated) steel does.

  13. Those are not stainless but chrome-plated PAI short ones. Have a tendency to show out rust traces from the pin joints after some use outside.
  14. In my particular case I ended up with Bowers paying $70 for each race and $45 for a cone. You can see those figures were much friendly than the official offers. Sure NOS. And I got all that in my hands in 3 or 4 weeks, not 15 As for travels I landed at JFK safe and sound on Thursday and going to check in at Macungie showgrounds after some roaming along the East coast.
  15. Some more views from my travel. A couple of were catched when over the icey waters of North Polar Ocean and those with small rocks in the snows are the North coast of Canada somewhere in Newfoundland. And the river somewhere deeper into the country. On a side note I'm currently in the USA visiting my friend's family in NJ and hope to see some of your happy faces at Macungie soon
  16. By some reason I had ocassion to fly over a part of North Norway. The weather was found fine so I made a bit of picture work from the window. Those tight clouds on the last two shots covered the area above Athlantic ocean.
  17. No, 707 gasser had different block from 673. First thing it didn't have a hole to attach an injection pump, just unbored flat spot. And the 2nd it had larger bore, the kind (or the same?) END711 had. Not sure the crank was similar and the head studs pattern might vary either.
  18. Once I found an offer for one on e-bay. It looked strange a bit but worth friendly. I ended up ordering just to check. Found out it was way out of what I'd like to see. Machine-sanded and the picture was made with paint (high print), not almost as an original tag looked like. The seller was Sparr truck from Florida.

  20. Jason, Yes, I got the data and resolved my problem either. The original need was for a pair of Timken/SKF/Bower 47622W / 47622BW to finish rebuild of CRD32/33 diffs for my WW2 Mack. It's a very long story, the reason was to get faster from 9.02 and 40mph top speed. A 5 years long search ended up with a pair of bevel gear sets off a B-model supplied by one of our fellow members. That allowed me to mosly complete the FR. But when I got myself to the RR the interwheel diff bearings were found pitted really bad. It had happened that I had two sets of the diffs what meant 4 sets of diff bearings. Unfortunately I could use one of them only. So looked for extra bearings. Having hopes to use them from CRD92/93 (look siimilar) I put this thread on here. But finally having no clear answer during some while I just pulled one CRD 92 off a deep corner and what was pleasant I could read the numbers on the race without removing it. And those numbers were different from what I was needing at the time. So I rifled through e-bay and ordered a pair of races (L and R) and a pair of cones. They were not really cheap but reasonable in relation to other options. Being honest I was surprized seeing a cost of nearly $250 for just a bearing race and $150 for the cone to add. Now the bearings are already on my bench but no time to get to the carrier. And just tomorrow I'm going to be in almost another part of the world instead.

  23. Strange a bit but sure possible. On the other hand you can't always be sure an old truck has all its parts original. And as long as you already got that issue I'd take a hub off ans measure the seal. Pretty sure no problem locating a new one knowing the sizes. And that's the way I always have to do. Could also check for a reference having parts ## but actual size is a double-check. My 1945 Mack has 88AX110 front spindle seals. Those cross with newer Mack seals used in R-model and avalible from Stemco and others. Also sometimes you can modify parts when can't find a seal of a correct size by machining or sleeving of a shaft or making a spicer tube to accomodate a smaller OD seal.
