  1. Tim, I had at least four (4) boxes of moth balls in the MH and the little ba$tard$ still managed to chew wires, paper towels, and ruined my ultra rare Mack Ultraliner jacket. Sum beaches! Currently I have moth balls, Fresh Cab (pine scent), dryer sheets, sticky boards, pb baited spring traps, and poison blocks placed inside the MH, car, and pickup. I have the bases covered. I removed the sleeper mattress from the MH and also placed paper items in plastic storage containers. I read mice do not chew plastic.
  2. Looks good. Too bad it does not come in an aeresol can (for us novices).
  3. I put TomCat bait blocks in the sheds and builds, only to have something eat the entire block in one evening. I did this for a week but each night the blocks disappeared. Finally I decided to forget it....getting too expensive. It is either a BIG mouse or some other critter. My guesses are skunk or fox. Mice are pulling material from one of the my cars parked in the shed. Built a nest in the engine shrouding of my garden tractor, would overheat and shutdown. They also like to build nests in the car air intake box.
  4. PLN - pump line nozzle (fuel injection pump with lines connecting the pump to the injectors). Typical fuel injection system used on most early engines except Detroit Diesel which used unit injectors (UI).
  5. Once you get it off, there will likely be a narrow "lip" on the inboard side of the drum.
  6. That is the pine scented "crap in a bag". Worthless. Dang mice chewed the paper flap on top of the pouch and crapped all over the dryer sheets.
  7. A BIG hammer or a hungry cat? Let me know (post it here) if you or anyone knows of a sure way to keep mice out. Just hope they do not start chewing wires. I too have tried mothballs, Irish Spring soap, pine scent, and dryer sheets. Set traps but so far nothing. I am sure the critters are in there somewhere.
  8. Here is the video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI5TsEDiaYU
  9. Too much time with too much money.
  10. Fred, Yes RH is different than LH. I already have an extra NOS RH support....just ask Ron Baby Mack.
  11. My list is simple......5 million US dollars in cash (after taxes) But I would settle for: NOS 22MO349/22MO4234M2 dome/reading lamp NOS 6-piece MH grille NOS 42RM55M9 gray doghouse cover NOS 8ME4129M LH muffler support bracket 2 - new Michelin XZA or XZE 11R22.5 tires 4 - new Michelin XDN or XDE 11R22.5 tires 4 - new Michelin XZE 255/70R22.5 tires 4 - Alcoa aluminum 22.5 rims for the trailer
  12. Mike, Is that you on the Superliner's fuel tank step?
  13. Fred, Do you have a copy of the MH Climate Control System manual? If so, anything in there? I do not have my copy handy.
  14. 30 years ago I was working at Hagertown Powertrain in the E7 group. Attached is a pic of the first E7 installed in the test cell. In case you don't recognize me, I am the second from the left (behind the lady). Sorry for the sideways pic but it is a PDF and I do not have a full version editor. 1985 06 04 Mack E7 Group.pdf
  15. Welcome! We like pics.
  16. And the front tire is not what I would consider on-highway.
  17. Gerhart Machinery; Lititz, PA 717.626.8544 Roger has a lot of old Macks and may have or know of an air tank. Did you check with Barry at Watt?
  18. DEF = Diesel Exhaust Fluid (urea). I agree Carl, several years ago a few of us OE guys discussed this issue. Diesel engines were close to meeting the new regs without DEF. But DEF was an "easy" way to meet the regs. I feel the engine OEs will develop technology to meet the future regs without a lot of aftertreatment devices. Neverstar gave it a try but failed (close but no cigar). Time will tell.
  19. Welcome to BMT. Yardo (1958 FWD) is starting to mellow in his old age and bought a fire truck with a Driptroit, otherwise you would catch HEdoubleL for wanting a Driptroit. P.S. A Series 60 is not really a Driptroit but belongs to the same family.
  20. Mike Mike Mike, How long you been on BMT and don't know how to post pics? For shame for shame. At the bottom of the text box, click on the "More Reply Options". Then at the bottom of the next screen is an "Attach Files" box. Click on "Browse" and go to the folder with the pics. Then click "Attach This File". Keep doing this until you get all the files uploaded then click "Preview Post" to make sure the pics were uploaded. Then click on "Add Reply". Simple!
